1) Poche out the pen. Nails

2) Hess to close it out over the Senior.

And he has Walker set to mow down the left coast team.

Look, that shite was brilliant. Even haters can't really hate those moves.

PM planned, managed, and won like a boss. Give the man props

ETA: need to add putting Coomes back in. Dude was clutch at bat and first base

PM put on a coaching clinic last night. And you know which team didn't keystone cop the defense last night?

Y'all who bitch and moan all year, look at how LSU plays defense. That ain't just something that happens. It's fricking practiced. Time and time again.

We have so many arms this season to win

We have Walker, Gilbert, Hess, and Newman along with the other big 2

Well said about PM. Great job getting a team to improve slowly all season. We are peaking at the right time.

Best thing about it is Poche is still available, and with a win Monday Lange will be ready again Friday. I had my doubts in the pitching order based on CPMs previous calls. But it was win it all or lose it all tonight and he came through

Hope when we see Lange again he can get command of his fastball and stay ahead of the hitters. He was lucky he only gave up 4 runs tonight.

Really very uncommon for him to walk that many. Props to him for battling though

One of the most intense and high drama games in recent memory. I have a question about our pitching rotation, Cpm is starting Walker because of OSUs heavy hitting right handed lineup, he wants a righty that's why Poche is out and Walker in. My question is with FSUs lineup heavy on lefty bats why didn't we go Poche tnite and Lange Monday?

IMO poche and lange were always the plan for tonight. CPM understands the importance of winning the first 2 games. You don't plan for beyond that. All out to get to 2-0, then you make a new plan based on the results.

Yea I agree first two are all that matters but wouldn't it have made more sense to go Poche Lange in the first 2? Wondering if he just thought Poche was too valuable in the pen or something? With Walkers sore arm and the reason for Walker starting game 2 just wondering why not have your ace for that game instead of a freshman?

Down a run late in the game. Still playing to win and not letting the games ahead and potential scenarios dictate the decision. Poche was the only one warming at any moment preceding this as far as I know, and did great in an unfamiliar position with a man already on first when called into the game, forcing him to pitch from the stretch immediately. Might seem minor, but definitely a factor in pitcher's game.

Paul knew our best chance was to hold them at 4, regardless of if the boys were to pull through with the bats. Great call. Not guaranteed three games in Omaha by any means, so you throw your best arms early and if it works out well, you'll still have some availability for work later down the line, even if it's limited in innings.

Think this move also sent a message to the team that there was no giving up in this game. It may have been easy to accept a loss due to frustration and just look ahead to how to escape the hole of being 0-1, but there was too much of this game left to be played. The attitude was altered before the Tigers' 4th time through the batting order, which set the stage for the 1-5 hitters in which had only 1 hit (Duplantis) through the first 3 times up through the order. Back-to-back-to-back singles w/ a lil fielding mishaps goes a long way. FSU must've given up at least 5 total bases tonight from lack of awareness and sloppy fundamentals.

You pitch your ace game one period.

You see how far he gets you. There's a possibility you can get a complete game out of him.. you never know but you start your best and go from there.

Even when Lange isn't at his best he keeps the team in it and racks up K's.

We are fortunate to have the third pitcher we've longed for and so much bullpen depth. It's really great to have!

I agree with you on paul. He has definitely proven me wrong, as I thought he had lost control of this team halfway through the year, but damn has he turned it around and have this team playing the best ball in the nation. I let my emotions get to me earlier in the year and I should have just given it time to play out. I'm glad I was wrong, bc this shite is fun to watch! Geaux Tigers!

Wonder if everyone would be saying the same thing had FSU not committed 2 errors on one play ?

Yeah, Lang is awesome. When they only score a few runs on a bad day that says something.

It's the CWS. You go with you best. You don't play games. All these teams can take you out.

It's not surprising to me that while everyone else is thrilling in the come back win, you want to question a staff move.

Yep. Props to PM. He coached a helluva game considering his ace didn't have his best stuff.
