But this team is worlds better from just a year ago and this is a better opponent.

Riveting and groundbreaking stuff! So you actually think there is something to HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE?

There is no way this is true. What's next? I guess your gonna say Tiger Stadium gives LSU a boost during football games.

Stony Brook had already had a historic year for their program whether they won here or not. They were literally playing with house money. They had zero pressure to win, because nobody even knew who they were a week before arriving in Baton Rouge.

Good point.

SB had a high talent level for such a low name recognition program, which made last year's loss tough to handle. Had there been a different name on their jerseys, it may have made more sense.

We also had deficiencies on the 2012 team which were unfortunately exposed. This year's team is much more complete top to bottom. Still glad that we are playing at home, though.

I am not nearly as fearful of OU as some fans are. Talent will prevail.

Not to be negative, but that walk on freshman, with only 15 innings under his belt, shut us down for 8 innings. And OU's ace sounds like he's as good or better than Stanek. But I like our chances at home, especially with this team.

Nope.. doesn't help us at all. After all.. we've lost to Bama the lost two times in Tiger Stadium.

That's actually incorrect.

If this thread was on the OT it would get whacked.
