Let’s be real here, if LSU was in the same position as UGA/BAMA we would all agree that FSU doesn’t belong to be in.
IMO they don’t. They will get stomped by Washington, Texas, or Michigan and they’d lose bigly to BAMA/UGA, oregon, Ohio state. Hell, they’d lose to six SEC teams alone.
That said, I want to see them in so it keeps BAMA/UGA out.

Football is a team sport. Injuries happen. Teams have backups for a reason. They deserve the chance to play and win.

It's even worse. They're judging talent right? So without Travis their offense isn't great? So imagine if LSU won the SEC but they said "well your defense sucks so you're out".

The records > who is healthy for next game. That is the philosophy of all participation trophy kids that are now adults. Same people that think the bulls would have been just as good with Jordan hurt on the bench. With bird hurt on the bench. With magic hurt on the bench.

Damn, I know many here hate Bama but who here thinks FSU is better than them? With JT, yes! But w/o him, no way in hell! I just watched them play a shitty Louisville team with possibly the worst QB in CFB and they struggled to win. Even with their QB2 coming back, they are only marginally better.

I think FSU can beat Washington. Call me crazy but I think their defense would give the Huskies fits and washingtons defense is shitty enough for FSU to generate more offense than we saw tonight.

Are you serious? Ignoring record on the field and using a subjective eye test is the better comparison to a "participation trophy". They didn't earn their spot and you want to give it to them anyway because you "feel" they're better.

The injury argument was never meant to be to keep a team out. It was always used to say if a team had a player out and didn’t win as convincingly that it would not be held negatively against them.
Only now with trying to get Bama and Texas in has it changed to be a team can be punished for a player injury.
