Lol. His last year he had Stingley, Ricks, Flott, Ward and Mcglothern. The first four is already in the league and the last one will be soon. If that's falling off, what the hell do you call that shite they put out on the field this year? I wish Steeples recruiting would have fell off then.

No, no my bad, you’re right. That’s why when O finally let Aranda hire a coach, he hired a secondary guy. Corey Raymond is not a great x & o coach.

No other college team is trying to hire Raymond. There’s a reason for that

Explain the 7 years prior to O’s fallout where we continuously put corners on islands?

Remind me what our record was and how that defense looked that season, secondary in particular. I'll wait.

You just admitted it. What changed? The defensive coordinator. You literally just said it.

7 years of great DB play. New DC comes in, worst defense ever, but Raymond sucks. Lmao, what?

It was NOT Raymond. It was Aranda, Chavis and every other coach that dealt with the secondary. Bill Busch for example.
Raymond was an excellent recruiter. Not a good on field coach.

That was well known .

He didn’t coach Donte Jackson, Kevin Toliver, Greedy, or Tre White? He didn’t coach Flott and Stingley? Not Kristian Fulton?

He only recruited them, definitely didn’t coach them?

Why can't lsu go out and get a younger Corey raymond?

I agree. Even most of us who don’t want him back will fully agree that he would be a coaching and recruiting upgrade over what we’ve had the last two years. But a great younger coach who will get out there and kill it on the trail and stick around for several year is what we really need.

He did. Lsu was a machine then.

What happened his last 2 yrs at lsu and 2 at Florida?

Did he develop anyone at corner? Recruiting wasn't very good.

Can someone answer that?

I just don't understand why lsu can't go get a younger top db coach.

He did. He developed Cordale Flott. You’re discrediting 7 years of elite DB play and focusing on 2 where he had a coach who absolutely nuked the program.

I have no problem with Raymond coming back after the shite show we had this year. The dude can recruit and coach. Db is not a easy position to coach. A player can make 9 great plays but people only remember the one play that gets called a touch down against them. This year it seemed like our db's got burned every play, were out of position, or just couldn't tackle

He only got one good year each out of Stingley and Ricks. Ricks was particularly bad because he flat-out quit. McGlothern didn’t give a shite about doing what he needed to do. Ward and Flott took a little while, but they did develop into good players. Just reaches and misses outside of this group.

When your room is a big part of the problem, you share in the blame. The DL and LBs weren’t the shite show the secondary became.

Linebackers weren’t? Are you kidding me? The linebackers were horrible under Bo Pelini. Easily the weakest part of that defense.

Y’all crucified Damone Clark that year. Get out of here lmao

Honestly I was thinking these guys were gone.

I have to eat crow. I think I bought into the overall shite show the team was. The secondary wasn't great either but that was probably the DC.

Shite under o at the end was probably crazy. I still don't like how he would want a raise every year or threaten to leave.

I guess I would be alright with him coming back but would rather the next Corey raymond.
