I tell you what, we'll quit yelling suck that tiger dick bitch when you quit leaving the game at halftime. Students are the only ones left by the 3rd quarter anyway ... don't see why they shouldn't yell all the stupid shite they want.
This

quote:

So you can the rest of the AARP can sit on your hands the entire game? The students keep the stadium rocking. let's move them up top

..and this.
I live on the west coast now and only get to maybe one home game a year, so I see most of them on TV. It is pathetic to hear about the reputation of Tiger Stadium being ruined by "fans" leaving in the third quarter after sitting quietly for the first half. If it takes the student section screaming whatever to maintain the reputation of Tiger Stadium being one of the scariest places to play, so be it. BTW, I was a student in the early 80s and sat in the student section with my fellow students in the rain while we got our butts kicked by Tulane. How dare you assholes walk out of a game or cry about the behavior of the student section. Stay home, where it's quiet and safe!

These cheers were alive and well when I graduated in '07. "Rip Rip Rip" should never die!

It would be a lot more fun if we could all hear the full version of Tiger Rag after a touchdown.

You do realize that it would take 2 minutes for LSU to kick the PAT after scoring if this was the case.

Too long IMO

I hope you moved to the West Coast prior to 1990. TS was pretty dead between 1990-2000 with the exception of a few huge games.

I still say UGA 2003 was the craziest I've ever seen TS. Florida 2007 was a close second.

No, was in the military for most of that time, but managed to get home for the 1997 game against Florida!! Still probably the most exciting one I've had the chance to see in person.

OK...Alot of people are curious about the cheers...I'll do my best.

"We Eat Pizza"

We Eat Pizza, We Drink Beer
Hey (insert Team Name)...Frick You....Bitch

"Rip Rip Rip"

Rip Rip Rip, Rap Rap Rap
(Team Name) women got the *clap clap clap* (physically clapping)

"Rat Shite"
Apparently other SEC schools do a variation of this one...and yes...It's not supposed to make sense. It was invented by a drunk dude who could barely speak.

Rat Shite, Bat Shite, Dirty old (female anatomy reference...rhymes with Knot)...69 ArseHoles, tie em in a knot...
Hooray, Hooray...Lizard Shite Frick............GEAUX TIGERS!

"Cigarette Ashes"

Cigarette Ashes, Cigarette Butts
We got (Team Name) by the nuts...
PULL TIGERS PULL...PULL TIGERS PULL!

"Two Bits"

Two Bits, Four Bits, Six Bits, A Bucket...
All for (team name)...get down and suck it!

Theres more newer ones, but They havent been around as long as the ones I listed.

Based on what I've read here, I fall into the old fart category, but this stuff still appeals to my apparently less refined sense of humor.

I still don't get the Rat Shite one though, what the hell ryhmes with knot?

That's why it's so funny...It doesn't make sense, but you can see all the people trying to make sense of it.

Rat Shite was part of a George Carlin (RIP) routine. Couldn't tell you when, but it was a while ago.

Google George Carlin Cheer... It's the first of many hits that come up. Classic stuff.

A little profanity from the student section is to be expected--they're college kids. I hope the majority have the class not to go overboard, but sometimes they do. There's no way to discipline it out of them. At least our SS has improved tremendously over when I was there in the 70's and they threw bottles and batteries at the opposing cheerleaders. Really embarrassing and bush league.

Those "cheers" a few posts above are stupid--but then again so are most football cheers. And for an admitted "old-timer" I have to say I HATED (yes I'm yelling) "Hot Boudin". To me that is the all-time stupidest cheer I've ever heard, tradition or not.

Finally, I'm kinda tired of you young whippersnappers (!) jacking with us old timers about leaving early. I'm 53, and I stay every minute, and leave every LSU game hoarse and with sore feet. I'm on my feet screaming at the refs like a banshee. I don't cuss (except "bullshite!") I choke up at the national anthem and alma mater. And I love being in Tiger Stadium with the students--nothing like it in the world!

I once yelled "frick you Tebow" during a game. Some old dude told me that he would get me kicked out and that there were women and children around. I laughed at him as he was telling me this and told him to look at the women next to me, who was yelling "frick you" and flippin off Florida as the stepped on the eye. I'm not saying that what I did was right or wrong, but some people are way to up tight at a football game of all places.

I couldn't agree more! Only wish I could make more games.

I hate tattle tales too. I mean The way they think is that you're not allowed to get emotionally involved in the game.

Forgive me if my emotions get too high, and i might let a cuss word slip out.

You are a rare breed, and are an exception not the norm (sadly)? What percentage of the general fan attendees leave the game in the 3rd Quarter? Now compare that with the number of students who leave the game early. It's drastically higher, there is no denying it.

1. The current student section is the only reason TS has kept its reputation as a scary place to play

2. TS is NOT a classy place it is NOT a family environment it is a COLLEGE stadium known for being rowdy and disrespectful. If you took your family to a college bar would you expect everyone to suddenly act respectful and polite?

3. If you go to a game at TS and you are "true" fans but can't even stand up during the 4th quarter of the Alabama or Florida game then seriously GTFO.

4.Whether its Western Kentucky or Alabama get to the stadium for Callin' Baton Rouge and stay for the Alma Mater it means alot to our players who bust their arse for our entertainment the least we can do is show some respect at the end of the game instead of sprinting to your car as soon as we are a touchdown up.
