Are you kiddin? I have to check IDs at the door and I'm watching in my living room! I admitidely have some anger management issues when it comes to LSU football. Problem is, I'm usually yelling at our coaches.

TS is NOT a classy place it is NOT a family environment it is a COLLEGE stadium known for being rowdy and disrespectful. If you took your family to a college bar would you expect everyone to suddenly act respectful and polite?

If the games weren't televised, then this wouldn't be an issue.

Unfortunately, most of the time this isn't the case.

the least we can do is show some respect at the end of the game instead of sprinting to your car as soon as we are a touchdown up.

I once yelled "frick you Tebow" during a game. Some old dude told me that he would get me kicked out and that their were women and children around. I laughed at him as he was telling me this and told him to look at the women next to me, who was yelling "frick you" and flippin off Florida as the stepped on the eye. I'm not saying that what I did was right or wrong, but some people are way to up tight at a football game of all places.

I was wondering if anyone else remembered that game. I was in the student section then and I'm glad we chanted it. Sure it made national television when they switched to louder crowd noise while the PAT was in the air, but so did Tebow's unsportsmanlike penalty less than two minutes before that because he was making gestures to the student section after he scored. Go back and watch that part of the game, the chant to Tebow was well deserved.

I also liked the O-E-O chant after TD's I think it probably could've stopped at "you suck" and left "cock" off of the end but so what, Unless I've missed something the only media that gave the cheers any attention were all local and it was done as a press release from LSU.

Overall in the 80's and 90's SS pushed the envelope with cheers like "RIP RIP RIP", I'm sure a big deal was made about it because it was more vulgar than the "old timers" of those days were used to hearing. Over time the cheer(s) was accepted for what it is and now the SS is pushing the envelope once again. Sorry to burst your bubble but being disrespectful in one accord, to a visiting team, is a tradition that was started in tiger stadium long before I was born and it will be around long after I am dead. I couldn't imagine being a player on the field in tiger stadium while the entire student section is chanting "F*&K you (insert name)", or being on an opposing team who just allowed a touchdown and the entire SS is chating to you that "you suck". It gets in their head and that is the point. Thats why at LSU the SS is the 12th man. I'm glad that those things were chanted and if you don't like it THATS TOO DAMN BAD, because nothing you say is gonna stop students from being students in tiger stadium.

Oh and back in the day while yall decided to do your chanting of obsenities to the visiting team before and after the game, it's hard to do that now becasue we normally have them over at our tailgate sharing our beer and BBQ with them. Now who is it that needs to show some class?
