re: Where to watch the game in Los Angeles? - LSUnivFan on 11/4/15 at 6:03 pm
Tempting, thanks! However, I'll have 3 people in tow who are all native SoCal who want to witness the 'bat-shit-insanity' that goes along with being an LSU fan. (one guys' words, but at least partially true, amirite?) It'll be hard to match a Big Woodrow's environment in Houston, or the old B...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

No responses in 8 hours? On tRant??? :wha: I'll be in LA as well. More specifically Anaheim/ OC. Anybody got a gathering place? Surely in a metro area of 13 million people, one must exist. The "Where to watch around the world" thread says Mr. Pockets on Sepulveda south of LAX, but last upda...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

Then you'd have one normal walk thru gate, and two separate swinging gates for the double wide? 3 gates, no? Anyway, I think matl' est is close regardless. Best o' luck!...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

re: Is This A Decent Quote For Replacement Wood Fence? - LSUnivFan on 3/4/14 at 9:51 pm
Haha - more. A buddy of mine did 8ft cedar board on board, top trim, rail cap all the way around, two walk thru gates and a 24 electric sliding gate across a 3 car alley driveway (And not the most elaborate fence in his 'hood either). Total linear feet, 145. I asked him how much he paid - 16.5k....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Is This A Decent Quote For Replacement Wood Fence? - LSUnivFan on 3/4/14 at 9:15 pm
That's not too bad - I do fences on the weekends and usually quote about 10-20% less than the fence companies. I plugged your numbers into my estimator and came up with $4750. 12 gauge steel posts, 6 ft cedar with either 3.5" or 6" wide pickets. I'd do it for ya, too bad I'm in DFW Eta - unst...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)

The way I understand it, a current vendor of mine dropped my name to my prospective employer (also their account) and said THIS is the person you need. The owner contacted me directly and after a talk, set up a f2f over dinner. Went from there. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

Good advice here - quite honestly, more than I expected lol. Thanks fellas. Am meeting with prospective employer tomorrow, and get a better feel of the validity of the offer before meeting with the current. But I agree with the ASAP....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
Long term employees... Advice - LSUnivFan on 8/8/13 at 12:22 pm
At the risk of coming to the OT for advice... Here I am. :casty: I got head hunted for a managerial job recently. I was not out actively looking, but after a first and now second interview, a tentative offer has been made that has a total compensation package greater than a 30% increase, which...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (18)

Possible night game times? - LSUnivFan on 8/5/13 at 8:50 pm
Which game(s) have the highest likelihood of being a night game? I was given the honor of best-manning a bachelor party during football season. Golf is a given during the day, LSU football at night. Wedding is on 10/26 (furman) Right now, the only possibilities are: @UGA 9-26 UF 10-12 @ Ole ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (4)
