I've said it from the beginning...I am not a fan of saying these kinds of things everyday...and I'm certainly not a fan of saying them in a game along with 10s of thousands of people joining en masse...but I did join the cheers in college while tailgating and waiting for the student gates to open...around other students. It was fun and we were having a good time.
You win with class...you lose with class...but people are gonna trash talk, and 9 times out of 10 it's gonna be classless. That's just how it is.

And the band can still play the songs, but since they banned them the students will continue pushing the issue ... ha ha ha ha ha ha ha assholes assholes is soooooooooo vulgar! Yet that's banned. If the students can't even say assholes anymore, than they will push the issue just to piss off administration. As will any bunch of young drunk college kids.

You BabyBoomers and subsequent generation decides to replace Lassie, Brady Bunch and Flipper with RealityTV like Jersey Shore. You have no issues with making $$$ playing on America's dirty need for negativity like drugs, sex and violence.

I remember this too...and I remember it not being that big of a deal. I knew I was at a football game and was going to see some less than kosher behavior.

Yep. And I remember being seven to twelve years old and middle age guys throwing F-bombs left and right (and, in their defense, it was justified because of Archer/Hallman)
I'm just pointing out that Metry's "good ole days" weren't as good as his old arse remembers.
