Shirtless fat people who wear body paint should be banned.

I prefer to keep trappings of holidays like tossing beads confined the the time of the yr of the holiday. Such traditions lose their specialness when they happen all yr. Wearing & tossing beads in June seems as absurd as wearing red stocking Santa Claus hats & kissing under mistletoe in June.

Yes, to answer any questions, I am the type that complains about stores displaying Christmas decorations in Sept.

I disagree. The Mardi Gras beads are seen as indigenous to Louisiana and associated, by outsiders, in a very favorable way with LSU. It reinforces that "let the good times roll" perception that people have about LSU fans. The same cannot be said for people wearing them at NASCAR events.

While I do now wear or think of wearing the beads during non-mardi gras events, I think it is a fun thing to do.

Every state should be so lucky to have a fun icon, such as beads and the personalities to wear them. If you do not like them, don't..
...and to those who do not, quit trying to impose your views on others...I would bet that there are things you do that many would not approve of.

If that's all you have to bitch about, give thanks.

I'm 100% in favor of LSU fans wearing beads to out of state games.

What I truly fricking hated was being at the Final Four a few years back and seeing numerous UCLA, Florida, and George Mason fans wearing their team color beads.

The people in Omaha love LSU and the Mardi Gras beads and all of the rest of our South Louisiana traditions. Of course, anyone who has actually been to Omaha KNOW this

Personally, I think it's rather silly to see ANYONE wear mardi gras beads ANYWHERE outside of perhaps the immediate environs of an actual mardi gras parade.

That being said, I'm not going to get too worked up about it, either way.

Just seems really "hokey" to see people from La wearing beads when it's not Mardi Gras.

I hate it when fans of other teams (not LA) teams) wear Mardi Gras beads--except, maybe, from the Mobile area. But I also kinda like it in that it sorta pays a tribute of a sort to NO LA.

Kinda like seeing people at a NASCAR race with beads on

Some of you people really need to get over yourselves. Is your life so empty and your skin so thin that you have nothing else to bitch about?
