Saban would never be the coach he is at Bama at LSU. Like it or not, it's harder to win at LSU. At Bama, your team never holds, you get an annual soft regular season schedule (no USCe, UGA, or Fla), and they change the rules of cfb for you when you don't deserve to play for a title when not winning your conference. That special treatment doesn't exist at LSU and not at many other places.

Think about it. Oregon could argue they are a better team than Bama.. Wait.....we can't put Oregon in this year because they didn't win their conference....But neither did Bama last year when their pitch was they were 1 of the 2 best teams.

CFB is political bullshite and hypocrisy at its highest form. The sport needs a playoff because the best teams often don't play each other for bullshite BCSNC.

Alabama is a great football program. I do feel that it's hard to argue your schedule next year doesn't show some favoritism but in the grand scheme of things, the cycle has turned and BAMA is now the class of the conference. Timing is everything and the Saban failed NFL experiment worked out perfect for you guys. Your university administration has and always will do what it takes to field a winner in football. Your program is top notch and the envy of many. As an LSU fan, it's difficult to say that but all I can hope for is we can continue to keep our program at a competitive level and maintain the competitiveness to keep our match-up an important one. Enjoy the roll you guys are on, good luck against the Irish, (although I will be pulling for Notre Dame) and we''ll see ya'll in Tuscaloosa in 2013.

Fact remains is that he has won 3 NCs and could win another one tomorrow night. And he probably will win another one after that.

Lucky that UGA handed them the SEC championship on the final play.

Lucky that Ohio St is on probation.

Lucky that UT and Auburn were a combined 1-15 in SEC play

Ummm...Kansas State and Oregon both lost games they were heavily favored to win. These 2 teams were expected to play each other in the title game late in the season as they were 1 & 2 in the rankings.

Not saying Alabama doesn't deserve to go, that's the way the chips fell, but it was still lucky for them that they fell that way. And I admitted it being the same way for LSU in 07.

I don't think there's any favoritism going on but there's no question Alabama has a favorable schedule next year. This year's schedule wasn't bad either although it appeared before the season to be much more difficult. Michigan turned out to be middle of the road and of course Arkansas imploded. Reasonable people can discuss and disagree but I just have a hard time not calling out these rantards on the conspiracy theories. Props to the LSU fans who are doing the same.
