Interview makes me miss his leadership. What an intense manager and great Tiger coach, I wish he could've scratched that NFL itch before his tenure here.

Miles is an excellent recruiter and a better fit for our laissez fare attitudes. I will defend him always because he is our guy.

We need intensity, in a bad way. I am hoping the next OC whenever he comes brings that iron will with him.

Saban would have never stayed here long term...he doesn't suffer fools well.

People can love or hate him all they want ... but, I like his approach and always have.

He is the best CFB coach right now ... bar none.

Love him or hate him it does not matter...especially to him. Fact remains is that he has won 3 NCs and could win another one tomorrow night. And he probably will win another one after that.

I think you need to steer away from football and post more:

Easily...with no close second I can tell. My point was mainly 1.)I never thought he would stay at LSU, Dolphin job or not, and in general 2.) Since not Saban, who then?

Saban would never be the coach he is at Bama at LSU. Like it or not, it's harder to win at LSU. At Bama, your team never holds, you get an annual soft regular season schedule (no USCe, UGA, or Fla), and they change the rules of cfb for you when you don't deserve to play for a title when not winning your conference. That special treatment doesn't exist at LSU and not at many other places.

Think about it. Oregon could argue they are a better team than Bama.. Wait.....we can't put Oregon in this year because they didn't win their conference....But neither did Bama last year when their pitch was they were 1 of the 2 best teams.

CFB is political bullshite and hypocrisy at its highest form. The sport needs a playoff because the best teams often don't play each other for bullshite BCSNC.

I am really pulling for ND tomorrow. Last thing we need is Saban to win another championship at Alabama. Particularly in a potentially "rebuilding" year.

Bama played Georgia in 07-08, USCe in 09-10, and Florida in 10-11. There has NEVER been a rule that says that a team must win its conference to play for the BCSNC. We can debate the merits of whether there should be a rule that prohibits it but Alabama made it into the game last year completely within the rules that were in place and agreed to by all FBS schools.

so 2010 is the only year you played two hard teams from the east.

2008 LSU played USC & Florida
2009 LSU played UGA & Florida
2010 LSU played Florida & Tenn (about as close to a comparable schedule to bama as it gets except bama doesn't play 2 tough teams usually)
2011 Played Florida & Tenn (about as close to a comparable schedule to bama as it gets except bama doesn't play 2 tough teams usually)
2012 played Florida and USC.
In 2013 LSU will play florida and UGA

Sorry but your argument that bama playes an equal schedule is bullshite

I agree, but Alabama lucked in last year, and this year as well, just as LSU did in 2007.

Your argument is bullshite because Florida is your permanent opponent, a fact LSU fans constantly whine over but Florida fans never do. It's a fact that our permanent opponent, Tennessee, has been down the last few years but no one from Bama was bitching when they kicked our asses for 9 out of 10 years in the late 90s and early 00s. I have NEVER seen any fan base whine so much and complain about conspiracies from the SEC office, scheduling, officiating. Are you really so stupid as to think that if something like that was going on that Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, USCe, etc. would go to any length to expose it? Funny how all these "conspiracies" started about the time Saban arrived. They sure didn't help Bama much when other coaches were there and Roy Kramer was working with Phil Fulmer to bring down Bama's program.

That's what I was wondering. They didn't lose two games.
