Before you tie me to the stake and douse me with gasoline, I'd like to say that I am fully aware that these kids broke team, university and NCAA rules and should be punished as the staff sees fit.

However, I am beginning to enjoy these minor meltdowns that occur on the rant every time CLM decides to act contrary to the prevailing conservative opinions of the south.

Each time there is controversy, Les acts in a manner which is in his team's, as well as his own, best interest without regard to the attitudes of the media or to the opinions of the LSU faithful... which is to say, he does whatever the frick he pleases.

This leads me to believe that Les, to the extent that LSU football has an impact on the respective emotional wellbeing of each "fan", controls the knee-jerk reactions of the vast majority of fans and journalists alike. AND I LOVE IT.

Whether it is a conscious effort of a semi-sadist who gets his jollies watching people squirm, or a byproduct of a benign dictator who genuinely doesn't give a damn what you think, Les Miles is the proverbial puppet master of your emotions.

The NCAA doesn't test for it.

lsu administered the test. LSU, like other schools set their own drug testing guidelines. after 2 failed tests you must miss 15% of games.

Here is the NCAA drug testing policy

Here is the LSU drug testing policy

LSU has a policy that tests for substances that aren't included on the NCAA's list. Synthetic weed is one of these substances. The protocol for how these things are handled is listed.

Because it's not a substance named by the NCAA, it's not under the NCAA's regulations; therefore, it's an LSU matter and is handled according to their policy. If it were a substance listed by the NCAA, it would be an NCAA issue as well as an LSU issue.

Any time it is a school conducted drug test it is not an NCAA issue even if it is on the NCAA's list. The NCAA does their own testing.

Jesus Christ you people will argue about anything. The players ingested a substance which is banned by the LSU athletic department. Ingestion of such substances is frowned upon by the NCAA, to say the least. However, the test was administered by LSU, so its results fall under LSU's jurisdiction. Thus the punishment falls to the discretion of the coaches.

NOT THE frickING POINT.

Synthetic weed - are you kidding me... Play them. It's not an illegal drug! make them run steps or something....

Btw, #7 needs to get off the public channels. No email, phone texts, twitter, or anything. Stop flipping talking to the public! Your 19 years old. It's an internal matter. Keep it inside the locker room.

meh...

Better to be someone who uses bold for emphasis than to be a fatuous rantard who digresses with a non-sequitur.
