With it giving him an inside track at becoming HC down the road? Lots of guys shite the bed their first HC gig. Miles could teach him the CEO ropes.

you would want Muschamp as the HC at LSU even after seeing what he has done at Florida?

Please don't even suggest this. Muschamp is an over-hyped washed up head coach wannabe.

So you wish LSU could hire the coach Florida is about to fire for being a lousy head coach?

ETA: down voted....

At this point I don't think he'd have many options as a HC so it is likely the lure of staying in the SEC as a DC with the kind of freshman talent we have might be enough to bring him back. Wouldn't need to worry about the whole, "coach in waiting" circus.

eta: strictly as a DC, I wouldn't ever want Muschamp to be the HC.

I've seen so much of this...

Is everyone really giving up on Chavis this quickly?

Should we dump Cam, too?

Is it just me...or does the mental retardation level of the threads increase as we get closer to Saturday?

I think he has the capacity. If he's willing to learn at his next gig, yes I'm good with it. He can recruit and if he learns how to hire coaches etc he would be a head coach candidate.

Well I guess I should just throw a "Gruden" in here to make you dicks feel better

I'd given up on Chavis a while back. 2011 was great and all, but the guy literally had an NFL roster worth of starting players. He can't coach up any LB's, doesnt' recruit, 3rd and Chavis, and his scheme literally requires superior athletes at every position. It's the Les Miles version of Defense.

As for the OP, I would gladly take Muschamp but under no circumstances under the pretense that he was the "head coach in waiting".

Not sure this would be a match made in heaven, for him or LSU.
