There's a lot of ifs in your scenario. Remember Bama has a lot of youth too. And they know how to win titles.

Your delusional optimism is better than being a negative Nancy, but I wonder how long you can hold on to it.

I'll believe it when I see it.

We have guys leaving for UFA money.

I'm not really optimistic although I seem to be in the minority.

Who beats us then? Alabama is replacing 3 maybe 4 OL as well. Except they will also have a new QB, and they lose all 3 WR... Same could be said about Auburn, state, ole miss.

What makes you so confident that Vadal and Hawkins leave? Both are less of draft prospects than Collins last year. Hawkins would be great as a LT next year. Even still we have some good youth. Remember south Carolina last year? 2 freshman started for the first time against a great DL. They DOMINATED

There is plenty of room on board the 2015 LSU National Championship run bus. Hop on while tickets are cheap, they won't be for very long.

It doesnt hurt to fantasize.

But I just don't see this team being a whole lot better next year.

The OP sounds like the most delusional optimist of them all, Les Miles.

Remember when he said this class would compete for "multiple" championships?

I guess technically every team in football competes for them. Color me shocked if we make it to a playoff.

3 sounds like multiple to me. These guys saying we don't stand a chance are probably the same people who said we would lose to Kentucky. Some people are just blind to how much Les Miles improves his players and how great of a talent evaluator he is from a recruiting stand point

They're also the same people that said we'd go 7-5 at the beginning of the season but are now freaking out that we aren't gonna win 10 games

All we need is a QB. That QB is on the roster and his initials are BH.

Winning multiple championships, much less a single one, is a far cry from beating Kentucky.

Um, we are about to lose all but one starter on OL

Doubt it.
I think Kwon and Danielle might stay as well. Don't buy a ticket if you don't want one

While we're not losing 4 starters on the OL, we are likely losing 3 and could potentially have 4, if not 5, new players in terms of position alignment (e.g. Hawkins sliding to LT, Pocic back to C or RT, etc.).

Vadal's stock has really improved and I think he could potentially grade out as a 2nd round pick. He has phenomenal size and athleticism for an interior lineman and has been much more consistent this year. At the very least, his skill set is already comparable to Turner's from last year (and we all know how that turned out).

That means you lose the dominant side of your run blocking, and it also weakens the QB's blindside. Also, let's not underplay the importance of having a quality center. LSU has been very fortunate to have started players such as Wilkerson, Helms, Niswanger, and Lonergan over the years. We'll see if Dodd/Clapp/Pocic can continue the quality play at that position.

The only thing potentially keeping Kwon from leaving this year is his lack of size. However, he certainly has the playmaking ability, speed, and recognition to leave if he chooses.

Danielle is gone for sure. He may not be an elite pass rusher, but he has proven consistent in his ability to help stop the run, pursue the ball, and get his hands up in a manner similar to former Tiger great Tyson Jackson. His combine numbers alone will vault him into the first three rounds.

We have two? What are you people smoking? Have you been watching the same games as the rest of us? Anthony Jennings is a SWAC QB trying to play in the SEC! The light isn't going to suddenly "come on". He's not even going to play up to JJ levels! And you want to talk about National Championships? Unbelieveable!

Kwon is gone man, sorry.

Poor decision on his part because he's a tweener size wise.

This is bullshite. Yes, lsu will have lots of great talent on the roster next year.

But it won't matter if the goal is to make the playoffs.

We will repeat the same bullshite formula of trying to Bo Schembechler every team on the schedule. It will work for 8-9 games.

Then, we will lose to superior teams because we cannot seem to field a frickING MARGINAL passing attack without the likes of Mett under center. We don't need good QB play. We need marginal, top 50 play.

Nothing this staff has done suggests to me that we will plan to do anything other than out muscle teams on the ground and hope the defense is perennially awesome. Look for more 4th Q squeakers and judging the O based on how we stomp teams like KY. You cannot win it all coming out of the SEC with nothing but the run. Period.
