We are good with what we have now. No reason to expand ever in my mind.

There's something about the shots from tv like this of the north end zone with students going wild into a tv break that pumps me up. Something about the total darkness that makes it seem like we are far from civilization.

Southern Miss just kept their road and out the stadium over it. You can still drive through it.

I'm very disappointed in the design of West side. To me, it looks like whoever designed it had no clue about existing architecture at LSU.
Just as much LSUAD/TAF negligence in approving and allowing the final design to move forward and actually be constructed. Mind numbing incompetence in the entire process.

TEXAM just tore down their entire stadium piece by piece and rebuilt it one side at a time into one cohesive structure from an architechtural point of view. They did it right. No visible aesthetic public eyesore Lego Block-FEMA trailer like structures slammed on top of the upper decks either................

I don't see a North End zone expansion on the horizon. The concourses need so much work and an East Stadium Club would probably come first. End suites don't bring the same cash as mid field suites.

Agree. There will never be a NEZ expansion. There just aren't the butts to go in the seats. Stadium is only at capacity one time a year as it is.

Think about it.....stripper poles

Closest thing I could come up with...

Everbank Stadium

Hell, some people here referred to the dancers as strippers.

Joking aside, I agree with those who just don't see the necessity of NEZ expansion.

It'd be a much better investment to modernize the interior completely.

I'm talking gutting it.

Then we need to redo the exterior everywhere but the NEZ to match the NEZ. That facade is so damn beautiful

I don't think there's any doubt the next capital project campaign for LSU will be renovating the lower bowl.

I just hope they get really creative with the dorms, as expensive as cleaning them out will be. I would love for LSU to make party lounges for groups to rent for games, since the hotel idea is probably out the window at this point.

Otherwise I want Bernie Moore to be renovated and Alex Box to be touched up a bit

eta: Also I was told by a family friend that does filming for Cox that the PMAC will be getting a new scoreboard soon

i cant imagine seeing them not put suites on the NEZ because they would be losing too much money not doing that.

the only expansion i think should be done would be to further extend the east and west uppers towards the north, just as they curve towards the south end zone (see below...existing on right, expansion on left).

[/img]

it wouldn't block off N. Stadium Drive and would also leave the north end zone facade unobstructed

I say forget about adding more seats there. Instead, give me a full-end zone HD scoreboard.

For the love of everything good in the universe NO! There are enough people on campus, enough traffic enough expansion talk!

The demand isn't there and I don't think it will be. That is the prettiest part of the stadium and provides the greatest view. I hope it never happens.

"There's just not enough room for an NEZ upper deck."

I remember everyone saying they couldn't expand the south end zone. One Tiger Rant engineer went on for months how it would extend into the pass South Stadium drive.

WHY DO YOU PEOPLE WANT TO KEEP TALKING ABOUT ENLARGING THE STADIUM?

Some of you idiots are never, ever satisfied. It's always gotta be bigger and newer and more opulent. Newsflash: Our stadium is big enough. LSU has pretty much hit a saturation point on what people are prepared to spend on athletics from their disposable incomes.

How about we play in our nice stadium and focus on actually filling it, and on beating Arkansas for a change.

I think I disagree with your triple negative, but I'm not sure if that means I agree with it?
