If they move this game to any site in Louisiana, we better get a return game to Provo.

I wonder how quick the turnaround on ticket refunds would be. I'd love to attend the game Saturday then leave and take a short trip somewhere Sunday morning.

if there's no drinking allowed on/around their campus, what's the point?

Houston might as well be in LA in the context of a football game.

Largest out of state fanbase/alumni city, not that far away, straight shot down I-10 which runs through Baton Rouge and New Orleans. I know many like myself that when going to a game at NRG we don't stay in hotels... we stay with fellow LSU grads, family, or friends in general. Coon arse is probably the 2nd largest demographic group in Houston behind Mexican.

For many in North LA, it's easier to get to Houston than it is Baton Rouge or NOLA.

So your perception that we gain any real advantage by moving to a Louisiana site is off by a little bit.

For the record, many of us would rejoice for this to turn into a Home-n-Home and play later in Provo (or this Sat for that matter). But it's better for all if there's prep time for the Provo game. LSU fans travel very well.

ETA: and the real Death Valley will probably be wet (in the surrounding areas). It never rains in Tiger Stadium, but Baton Rouge will be getting plenty. The Superdome (plus Mormons in NOLA) or any other nearby NFL stadium (e.g. Nashville) because of ESPN just makes sense.

There is nothing in the idea of having the game in Louisiana next week that makes sense with the expected rainfall thru next weekend. Phoenix isn't bad but still requires two teams to make logistical prep. At this close to game time Provo, which had a game yesterday and should have things in place to host another on short notice seems the only option. And only one team travels.

Even though altitude will play a factor I'd rather see the game in Provo. We have played in NOLA numerous times and when will we get another chance to play in a beautiful scenery like Provo? We don't even know how far east the storms impacts will be.

Moving the game to Louisiana would greatly increase the likelihood that we'll have harly any of our fans there. We travel/show up to road games better then most programs but not on such short notice.

Moving the game to Provo would be ideal BUT would screw over the LSU fans who would have to book flights and make arrangements in Utah on such short notice.

With that said, if any of you Las Vegas area Tigers want to carpool up from Vegas, (it's a 5-6 hour drive) let me know.

If you have do drink alcohol to enjoy a college football game or enjoy life in general then you have other issues. My Scottish ancestors made whiskey and in Texas my great grandfather was a moonshiner, so I get it, but still....

Exactly.

And the storm track is only moving farther and farther east. Lake Charles could be devastated. Lafayette, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans could all see higher rain totals than originally projected.

I agree with Provo being the answer.

If it just rains in NOLA and BR, doesn't flood, and LSU were to lose in Provo this board would combust

The idiots are going to bitch either way.

The smart, rational people will understand that we are dealing with one of the very worst natural disasters in American history, and precautions were taken.

I found it odd that Provo was not on the list that was put forth this morning.
