I didn’t mean it in such a derogatory tone. Herring and Edwards will need to stay in this bullpen. Having Collins and Guidry heat up is very timely…the hope is Auck is back next weekend.

Personally either Little or Cooper would be average to above average Sunday starters in the SEC.

Those same people were bitching about our staff when we had a 2 ERA in the non-conference. Yes an injury to 2 of your top arms will hurt. Congrats on just knowing 2 of the best arms would need TJ (still hoping Shores won't). Funny how you call yourself an LSU fan and only say anything negative and then go quiet when LSU wins

If Ack is back and he's effective, then Herring probably does need to be your Sunday guy because you'll have two lefties in the pen.

I can't see Little getting a high leverage gig like Sunday starter. Not without more evidence he can handle it. He's been very suspect so far.

And you geniuses are spot on. It must just be by some miracle that LSU has managed to hold onto a unanimous #1 ranking in every poll so far this year and has managed to allow the least amount of hits/game halfway through the season with this awful pitching staff.

We have the entire month of April and most of May to figure out a dependable 3rd starter

Luckily it's still early. I think we need either Hurd or Little to get it together to win it all. But I'm interested to see what happens when we start to extend Guidry and Herring. Neither has gotten many innings but if they show they can handle it then we can move guys around and possibly find a 3rd starter out of Guidry, Herring, Edwards, and Collins. Collins in my opinion is exactly the type of arm you'd expect for a game 3 starter. He just had a rough start to the season

You can't take Edwards out of the back end. He might be your most valuable player in that role.

Right now you can't. But if Herring Ack Collins and Guidry all become dependable relievers then why not? Like I said it's early and we have plenty of time to get everyone in the right roles. But it would really help if Little or Hurd could just turn it around and solidify that Sunday spot

Collins getting solid would be huge.

Also Cooper could round into shape.

He sucked at the beginning and end but he also sandwiches like 3 scoreless innings last Saturday.

Since Russian disappeared, my guess this is his alter. If that is who it is, then the answer is Paul still should be coaching.

You mean the bunch of guys that combine to have a 3.51 Team ERA, a 1.11 WHIP and a less than .200 BAA?

This pitching staff is fine. They aren’t all going to look like Skenes

Well, if it isn't Herring then it's Cooper or Money, and you're essentially conceding Game 3 unless you can outscore the opponent. I'm gonna say that for you to call that a bad take imposes the obligation for you to explain what's a better solution. So let's hear it.

You do realize the toughest part of our schedule is behind us right?

We have options. Herring, Edwards, Little, Cooper, Guidry, Dutton, Money. It doesn’t matter who gets the start this week. We’re three weeks into the SEC schedule and we’ve already played the three toughest teams we’ll see in the regular season.

Chill out and let it play out. None of us have any idea what will happen but if history tells us anything it’s that someone will show up.

I wouldn’t have money pitch on any SEC weekend. Also South Carolina will most likely be the second best team we have played so far.

Oh no, it's almost like non of us predicted we'd have five pitchers out with injury by April. Almost like you thought being deep meant we could sustain an infinite amount of injuries, with no problem.

It might not be a high bar at the moment, but I thought he had better stuff last night than on Sunday. He actually made good pitches to all of the first three hitters, but the last two got lucky and found holes.

After that, his command escaped him again. But at least he through the inning. We really don't have any choice but to keep running him out there, though probably not as a starter on the weekend, in hopes that he rediscovers his stuff and command. If Shores is out right now, and we're having to use a committee of our best relievers to get through Sunday, that leaves us thin if Floyd happens to have a short outing on Friday. I don't think Ackenhausen is available this weekend, either.

Sounds like he has followed Money's implosion.

I also like what I’ve seen from Bucknam in the limited action he’s seen so far. Low to mid 90’s with a good breaking ball. He needs to start getting more innings, especially if the Shores rumors are true.
Little and Hurd have been massive disappointments. With the injuries we’ve had recently, they need to step up and start pitching like they’re capable of. I’m optimistic that Wes Johnson will get them right and we’ll be fine.
