He'll pop up again as soon as a team gets a lead on us or gets a few runs in an inning. This pussy has now hitched his cart onto the bullpen as he can no longer cry about our offense, defense and starting pitchers.

Exactly. It’s a troll. Only appearing when he can bleed on his puss napkin. I get that this is a forum and there will be plenty of differing opinions and views. As a fan base on a fan ran site, we shouldn’t have to deal with that. Ban him and call it happy.

LSU won the national championship in 2009 with two starters, Coleman and Ranaudo, a closer, Ott, and a bunch of mediocre crap.

LSU had at least 4 reliable starters late in 2009. Probably the last time we had that many.

We had Renaudo and Lewis and then Austin Ross with a 5+ ERA

It took me a while to figure out who Lewis was, but you are right. We only had two really good starters in 2009. Ross could go through the lineup a couple of times to save the pen, but he wasn’t shutting teams down.

But man, Coleman and Renaudo were good. And Mainieri got everything out of them he possibly could.

I didn’t mean it in such a derogatory tone. Herring and Edwards will need to stay in this bullpen. Having Collins and Guidry heat up is very timely…the hope is Auck is back next weekend

Hopefully in the next month Coleman steps in, acts like he hasn't missed a day of pitching in his life, and takes a over a spot.

Ross did seem to pull it together towards the end of the season if I remember.
But yeah, he was never close to the level of the other two.

Yall need to put some respect on paul bertuccini’s name. But the point stands, it was bert and ott in the pen with 2 elite starters. That was it

Both still have good stuff. We'll need it in tournament play. Let's hope Wes can put them in a good head space by then. I think Mid-week starts and low pressure innings will help

Bradford, Matulis, Bradshaw, Byrd, and Ross all with lower ERA than our current 3rd starter

Our 2nd starter isn't looking too hot either, giving up as many earned runs as innings in 4 of his 5 Power 5 starts. Samford ain't walking through that door.
