re: Calling MacaoidhLSU have basketball recruiting questions: - macaoidh
must have already cashed Stansbury's check
Watch what happens over there if they go, say, 22-9 and get beat in the CUSA tournament and don't make the NCAA, and then Robinson goes pro. That'll be a hoot. The AD over there, from what I hear, is NOT pleased with his coach....

re: Calling MacaoidhLSU have basketball recruiting questions: - macaoidh
I don't know that we're really in the mix with Pickett, but I don't have any real information on that worth standing behind. Don't know anything on Williams. What I'd heard was he was way more interested in signing forwards than guards after he got Smart, which might mean he doesn't have room for...

re: Who are your starting 5 in Bball next season? - macaoidh
Mitchell Robinson & Josh Anderson. If they can get out of their LOI's Wade will for sure be all over them. Which probably means the Oregon guy never makes it to campus and the Patterson rumors are true. Would be great if it does happen. You get Robinson for one year and Anderson is similar to...
Why even post this if you won't share the info? Hints or something. I hate when posters do this because it always ends in nothing.
I know, I get it. But I'm gonna post this and it's going to come off as pie-in-the-sky ridiculous, and if it doesn't happen then I'm the pie-in-the-...

What I just heard about what Wade has cooking...oh, Lord. I can't even say it because it sounds like a freaking fantasy. Let's just say nobody's starting five on this thread is correct if this rumor is true....
Patterson regressed big time under Johnny. He’s a hard working kid and has potential to be a pretty decent guard in this league. I have faith he will improve a ton under Wade and be a solid contributor next season.
Will Wade is not going to play a kid who turns his body sideways to...
If Newman and Hess combined
Little bit, yeah. This REALLY looks like Hess. ...

Don't add Gragg yet. My guy can't confirm whether he's for 2019 or if the whole thing is a mistake. BTW - Nowak's with Rockford in the Northwoods League, which is the team Feduccia and Moffitt are on. [link=(http://northwoods.bbstats.pointstreak.com/player.html?playerid=1151008&seasonid=30702)...

P, pitcher number 11 is Brandon Nowak, a 6-4, 180-pound transfer from Oakton College in Illinois. [link=(https://twitter.com/Bnowak3/status/881688416815116293)]Commitment tweet[/link]...

I wonder if we took this Nowak guy because he looks like Hunter Newman. ...

re: It sounds as if there's a new baseball commitment... - macaoidh
And now there's another name I just got. I don't know if this guy is the guy and Gragg is not, or if they're taking both of them and Gragg is a 2019 commitment. But this guy's name is Brandon Nowak, and he's from Oakton College in Illinois. Originally signed with Miami. 6-4, 180-pound lefty. ...
Mainieri said we'd be bringing in 11 new pitchers this year, but I've only been able to find 10. This must be the other one.
I'd heard he had another guy. Was really hoping it would be an impact pitcher. Which this guy would be, just not this year. But if you accept that 2018...

It sounds as if there's a new baseball commitment... - macaoidh
...his name is Logan Gragg, and he's a 6-6, 190-pound lefthanded pitcher out of Connors State JC in Oklahoma. 11-2 with a 2.50 ERA this year. 86.1 IP, 68 hits, 20 walks, 82 strikeouts. Threw six complete games in 14 starts. The downside is, this guy wouldn't help next year. He had Tommy John s...

re: 2018 LSU Baseball Team - macaoidh
He has shot up the radar quite a bit. I wouldn't mind letting him get some work at 2B in the fall, what do you think?
I don't know how much middle infield he's played, but it's certainly a possibility. It appears he has better speed than perhaps it's been advertised. I would...

re: 2018 LSU Baseball Team - macaoidh
The guy everybody here seems to be sleeping on is Nick Webre. He's playing at Danville in the Prospect League right now and he's destroying the competition. He's hitting .360 in 26 games, with 14 stolen bases. Don't be surprised if we end up with a lefty-righty platoon at DH with Webre and Bry...

re: Macaoidh...any chance? - macaoidh
Saw him in Top 20 this year. I did not see one and done talent/basketball smarts.
That'd be even better, but it appears he's told everybody that's his plan. I'd be fine with a team that had Smart, Reid and Robinson all playing together. That would be acceptable, if unlikely....

I would assume the same, and Robinson is a one-and-done anyway so there would be no point in it. Other than if my little shenanigans-and-tomfoolery scenario was active....
Wku assistant coach, who was Mitchell Robinson's good father, resigned. Any chance he gets out of LOI?
I have no idea. Unless there were shenanigans or tomfoolery associated with Robinson's recruitment that Robinson were to decide to threaten exposure of as a means of blackmaili...

re: Has Naz Reid commited yet? - macaoidh
Hate to see this happening. Thought Sims showed a lot of promise at times last year. Seems he could develop into a productive contributor. He had some nice offensive games and hit the boards hard sometimes. He lacked consistency which was typical for a freshman. Seems he could have played a s...
