What other event has Houston hosted that had as many people staying downtown and midtown using the rai to get to NRG?

The concession stand line was a joke. Those sisters sure took their time.

My only complaint.

I thought it was ok...they waited until 630 to open the stadium was really a bad decision...stadium was nice, food was good...took 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot...too long considering we were in the green lot...

On a different note, the baseball stadium sucked...took forever to enter, made my wife throw away her starburst when searching her purse...it was like 6 of them... Workers in the stadium were not friendly...overall not impressed at all

Stadium: nice. Concessions and parking: nice. Seats: nice. Having to watch FOUR fights breakout in our section between LSU fans: not nice.

Y'all see the line for the train after the game? Lol sucks for those people.
I was in that line. That train ride was an experience. We fit as many people as we could in that bitch. The train broke down a stop before the one we needed, but it wasn't a far walk to our hotel from there.

I was in the 3rd level endzone and found the concession lines pretty damn good. Walked up at half to get a beer and no line. Before the game got my food and drink no problems whatsoever. I will say having go to bowl games and Texans games at NRG, the Upper deck concessions are not as great as those in other levels say Field Level, 3rd level. As for the light rail, it was never designed to handle this sort of load in this period of time. It's not a subway. Metro did not know what to expect and it showed last night but seeing how Metro is run on a daily basis being in Houston it's no surprise. Even with more planning they still would not have solved the crowding issues on the trains. Only thing they could have done was suppliment the rail with busses taking people from Midtown/Downtown to NRG.

There was a stupid long line to the rail line

Then another gate was opened up and it seemed like i ended up cutting in front of 200+ people

Cant imagine how long to took to get those folks back downtown since we got there at about 1:20

MLB rules changed so that now everyone has to go through a Metal Detector before entering for security reasons. Sucks but it's out of the AStros controls

How long did you wait in line after the game? The line was insane. I felt bad for them.

They had the rail in 2004?

I didn't think it was that old.

There was a gate opening through the orange lot so we "merged" since the police didn't say a word to us. We only had to wait for the 2nd south bound train.

Of all the major cities I have been to for these types of events (bowls, final four, etc) including Atlanta, Dallas, Orlando & Indianapolis, Houston was easily the least prepared and worst logistically. although the Marta post game in Atlanta in 2001 was probably the worst single goat frick I've ever seen

Nice stadium. I have no complaints. We walked to the crown plaza to get a cab and ended up hanging out there for a bit. It was like a big LSU fan drunk fest over there

Stadium was nice though. Wish there were more beer vendors walking through the sections. They only came through our section one. But I stopped drinking relatively early on so that wasn't a big deal.

Getting in to the stadium was much easier than Dallas last year.

Also the bars downtown were not nearly prepared enough. Not enough bartenders, running out of beer, etc.
