Miles will need to be ousted mid-season if his buffoonery sets in once again. It will get far more than ugly, it will be brutal. He had no idea how many ticket-paying fans are washing their hands of him. The Texas Bowl will mask this. The recruiting season will mask this. But, when the crazy incompetence sets in, Miles will need a mask to set foot in public, cause he will be incessantly boo'ed like never before.

No, I'm not delusional. I am a fan. I am a fan of a damn strong football team that, although no one wants to hear it, was young and inexperienced. That changes in 2016. If we can't win with this team next year, then I will join you negative nancies and call for change. But please, please do NOT get on the bandwagon when this team is in the college football playoff

my prediction is Les will accept a buyout before next season ends, if not all the good feelings that were present at the a&m game will be gone and it will not be near as nice.

false. there are posters here that want exactly that to happen.
they were hoping we lost to Ole Miss and A&M...they said so themselves. they also want us to lose the bowl game. if you don't believe this than you're either naive or just haven't been paying attention.

I find it ironic that the Administration thought fans/politicians could not understand that the money for the buyout and hiring did not come from the University, however they could not understand that the fans in the stadium were sending Les off in the sunset respectfully, not asking for him to stay.

I'm beginning to realize that the virulent anti-Miles people really are a small noisy minority.
First I think they were taken aback by the love showed to Miles by the fans when it looked like he was going. This doesn't mean the people showing the love wanted him to stay but it showed that there really is a deep affection for him. This has to grate on the people that really hate him to the extent that they feel the need to say something bad about him in every situation.
I also think that this same small noisy group was a bit taken aback by the quick sales of tickets yesterday showing that there are still a lot of people that love to watch the Tigers.
Most of the people that I know away from these boards that follow LSU kind of feel like I do. I was ready to see him go and think it would have probably been for the best (both for the program and for him). But since the decision is made I would feel childish to keep endlessly wailing and gnashing my teeth. I'll support the team. And I'll support him because he is the coach of the team.

I have a question for everyone on this board. Was this team poorly coached or not? If the answer is yes. What do you see that makes you think that they won't be poorly coached again next season? That's all I'm asking. If you are optimistic about next season can you please explain why?

Under a scenario where the team underperforms and he is terminated, I say the send off is extremely muted (at best) and that he is not carried off the field in his last game. I think team performance will dictate the response (if any) as we get into November.
I think the majority of folks fell into one of two buckets - (1) let's give him another year to right the ship or (2) after 11 years, we simply can't treat the man this badly as an administration which did bolster some of the emotion in keeping Miles. That said, that honeymoon will be long over by this time next season if the team or Miles underperforms.
