At 6'1", 220 (a likely exaggeration) he probably never really was a D-1 lineman.

A big exaggeration. I met CLM inside the Lod Cook center in the Shaq room. I'm 6'4" and I was easily 5-6 inches taller than him. Les is 5'10" - 5'11" Tops

he played. He started a few games in a 10-2 season.
The starting OT was injured a few games.
Why don't you show off some of yours with a link? All I can say is that he isn't even listed on the depth chart his junior year and is 3rd his senior year. There is a also a noticeable size difference between him and the starters, so it is more likely that someone would switch over than Miles start, unless it was against a true cupcake on the schedule.

He played back when football started. It was different back then. He rode a horse to practice for Pete sake

You are correct. I'm 5-10 and he is almost exactly my height.
