How *mean* is this team?

In order to contend, a football team needs natural born killers. It's something you can't teach. It has nothing to do with talent or experience, and everything to do with hunger and aggression.
Does this team have that culture right now? Or is there more of a "professional" vibe? I'd especially love to hear impressions from posters who are close to the program.

Guys like Neighbors, Hunter, La'El, Debo, and Vadal are some mean sons of bitches on the field. I'd say this team would be like a 7-8 out of 10 on the Bad Bad Leroy Brown scale.

OP makes a good point, the last two LSU teams didn't have the BAMF presence that the 2011 team did. We need a few of those guys if we are going to contend in 2014 and beyond.

I think Jamal Adams, shaq white, Rashard Robinson, Dwayne Thomas, jalen mills, and Ricky Jefferson will bring that much needed swag back to our secondary ... Expect lots of trash talking
Duke Riley, Debo jones and beckwith are right up there with those DBS except I full expect them to lay the wood multiple times
I hope one of our younger dts or d ends become the "bad arse" of the line.
I think the 2014 defense has the nastiest demeanor since 2011. Hopefully they are equally as talented

To me, a successful football team shouldn't be mean as much as loose and confident.
Mean = tight and afraid of mistakes.
