How many are going to jump off the CEO train if we lose against Bama?

A lot of pro CEO posting going on right now. He has won 6 of 8 games at USC and every game he coached at LSU this season. It's no wonder the hype is real in Tigerland right now for CEO. I'm just wondering if a loss or two in November is going to cause those who really want CEO to lead the tigers in 2017 to change their mind?

What say ye?

They'll definitely ease off a bit with the ride or die for him

It depends how we look doing it. If we look good, and win the rest of our games, I would be ok with giving O a chance

Not directed to you macintosh but I really get the feeling that people actually wanted lsu to lose so miles would get canned, and it wouldn't surprise me if again, 'fans' wanted lsu to lose so coach O don't get the job

People are stupid

this

and I bet you that if we're down in the 3rd quarter by a td or so, he won't look like he's lost looking into space

How many will not either use the win or loss as a factor is deciding the head coach at LSU long term?

i love when people think some idiotic hypothetical makes some kind of point.

no one can predict the future. when the season ends, we'll evaluate the season.

Bama will be a defining game but win or lose, if it's close I don't think it hurts him either way, it's more how LSU looks in the game.

Also, I think the games that come after are more important. Getting these guys motivated no matter what happens against Hogs on road.

I'm going to need more data before I make a rash decision.

i do wonder if some are already poisoning the well, YET AGAIN, because theyve already dug their heels in and decided nothing Orgeron ever does will ever be good enough, even winning a title.

I'm not really riding for anybody yet but it depends more on how we play than whether we win or lose.

Sound familiar, doesn't it?

Is our fanbase a little too entitled?

I don't think beating Bama is necessary for O. It's not for me at least. I'm not really expecting a win here. I'm hoping for one sure but I'm not expecting it. So as long as it's a competitive loss I'll be fine. Lose 42-10 then I'm out but lose by a TD or less and I'm fine. He does have to beat A&M Arky and Florida though

The short answer is: A Lot

People on this board act all realistic with their predictions, but they freak out once the losses happen.

Given what CEO has done so far, I am of the opinion he should be offered a contract of 3 years. I'm not crazy about any of the people that "might " be available. We would be staring from scratch with new coaches because any new coach would want his people in there. I like what I see running the d and o.
O has a great management style and has great coaches under him. He has learned his lesson not to interfere with the coaches as CLM was prone to do.

ETA How will you folks advocating for say Herman or a couple of the others feel if the team goes Say 8-4 with losses to Bama , Fla, Aubie, Om? Y'all think a new coach is instantly going to put LSU in the playoffs?

Pretty much everybody, I'd assume. There are some who aren't going to support him even if they beat Bama.

We've seen this before. It is a well founded observation.

O looks like he's got the chance to win the job. Which is fair.

How they perform vs Alabama is a fair measuring stick. A good performance vs bama and beat the rest should be enough.

However, I think he's a great shot at beating bama. Momentum and belief is a serious motherfricker.
