JL has managed to be very humble and to say all the right things to this point. do you think the JJ loyalty is begining to frustrate him ? I am afraid that at some point JL's patience will run out. Surely by now he has earned the right to start and get into some kind of rhythm. The whole thing seems like it has the potential to be a huge mess !

If Miles does not allow JL to take 95% of the snaps next weekend LSu will lose and it will seal MIles fate at LSU. He will never overcome being labelled an idiot if he allows JJ to lose this game next week.

I think the kid is a lot better than that. After all he is been throw JL will show the best sportsmanship even if he doesn't get a start for the rest of the season or next. I think his biggest respectable shove it in Miles face would be to make it to the NFL. Just my two cents.

Peole said he was going to transfer since 08. He isn't going anywhere and every game he has gotten more and more snaps. And it's for the #5 team nthe country. You'd have to be a moron to transfer. Not to mention if he doesn't get noticed playing for lsu, you think he will on a team like mcneese? The kids best bet is to stay and continue to build his confidence all the way into the NFL.

We have to get behind early for Les to rely on Lee.

You are absolutely wrong here.

If he can endure the '08 season, and still stay here, then what is going on now is a piece of cake.

He has plenty of patience.

another Brad Johnson. Couldn't start at FSU but got a ring starting in NFL. and we will look stupid.

true

i really do not expect him to transfer i just wonder how he feels about all this. I think the kid is smart and knew all along that he would get another shot.

He is obviously one hell of a competitor to deal with what he has, so I'd expect he doesn't like being the backup.

Truth is, it might actually be fueling his fire even more.

I'll say this though, he needs to spread the ball around better, or he will start throwing some picks. It seems like Randle doesn't even suit up for LSU anymore.

We did have a coach who believed that the BEST player gets to play...regardless of age, size, freshman, or senior......we all know who that coach was and how he would handle this situation.

If JL was my son I would encourage him to transfer to a new school

No offense but McNeese has a pretty good history of getting players shots to make it in the NFL.

Lee will not transfer, as he can only transfer to a Division 2 school or lower. As a redshirt junior, he is ineligible to transfer and play at a Division 1 school (FBS or FCS) before his eligibility is up. If he was going to transfer this past off-season was his last realistic chance.

I think he will maintain a good attitude as long as he is on scholarship.

The kids patience and determination is something that people should be inspired by at this time. Hopefully, he doesn't do anything to change that. It wasn't that long ago that LSU fans wanted to run him out of town, now he is their/our savior.

Ok timeout!

Perspective time. Lets take a step back for a second. I say, 2 years ago step back. Back when JJ had to ride pine and watch Lee throw pick six after pick six and interception after interception. How many times JJ had to watch Les pat Lee on the head when he made a horrifyingly bad mistake only to let him get back out there and do it again?

Now we are worried on how long Lee has to have a good attitude waiting for Les to sit JJ?

Look Ive been a JJ supporter from the beginning. But if takes Lee to start for us to win games, win the SEC and possibly the NC then Im ALLLL for it.

But in no way shape or form am I going to sit here and say JL is a better qb than JJ after all Ive seen the last 3 years. I dont blame either guy for the way they play. I put the blame squarely on the shoulders of the coaching staff.

kid is a class act, after his Freshman season, many 18 y/o would have probably said this is not for me. FWIW he might like the backup role, not as much pressure and the backup is always liked.
