How does Pocic not stay at LT?

Besides the one bad hold deep in our own territory I thought he was clearly the best Tackle we have had all season. Maybe since La'El. I was about half lit so I may be mistaken. Moving forward it seems pretty obvious to me that he's the answer there. I would love to see

LG: Maea
C: Clapp
RG: Boutte
RT: Weathersby or Chidi if Toby can't go.

I think its more of an indictment on Clapp at C.

yeah his backup options at center suck.
I'd still be fine with it, especially against Carl Lawson and Myles Garrett.

I'd rather Malone at RT if Weathersby can't go. If Chidi didn't get in last game then he's clearly either not ready or still injured.
I think Dodd is our center in that situation with Clapp staying at LG.

Dodd was the center when Pocic went out. I'm not sure if that's due to Dodd being familiar with Etling as Etling pointed out or Clapp never materialized as a viable option at center. I'd go to venture a bit of both.
I mean unless things change Dodd will be our center next year soo....

Will be looked back on as one of the biggest mistakes of the season if we do not make the change. How the coaches continue to watch the game film while watching Malone and say, "yep that's our guy" is baffling. He's so fricking bad.

I hope this is a joke. Bama, Arkansas and Wisconisn ate our Dlines lunch.
I like Clapp a lot but he's struggled in picking up assignments when pulling. I think he's a hell of a center but it looks likes he's overthinking at G.

I watched the game again and focused on Dodd when he came in. He did a good job.

It's because a clueless lay person was asserting he knows more about coaching a major college offensive line. And, has had extensive hands on experience in the Spring and Fall camps. Poster is just that good.

Absolutely Pocic should play tackle he will in the pros. And Teuhema is a guard and should be moved there immediately because he just doesn't have the foot work needed to play tackle. I watched him and he gets beaten badly on simple pass rushes. But the kid would be an absolute mauler at guard and will be one in the pros soon.
And you're right about Clapp should have been taught to play center, I said that. Brumfield should have been trained to play there too if he can't play guard.

Agree. I thought Dodd did a pretty good job. Hopefully he's solid consistently

Because Pocic was not all world like most of these posts keep claiming. He was average at best. Malone and Pocic is about the same at tackle but Pocic is a much better center than any other center we have.

you gotta love the rant. you were "about" half lit, all you remember was a drive killing penalty and he sober up and announce him the best LT since Collins?
that's quite an endorsement. do you think it might have been influenced by something you've read another genius on here post. maybe he was half lit too.

Don't see the hate for Malone. He held his own against a very good DE this past Saturday. I really wanted Pocic at LT this season, but without the work there, or a viable backup, I think C is where he needs to stay.

I think kj malone is doing just fine at LT . He's getting better by each game. Keep the line just like it is, they improved tremendously since the first game. Good job coach grimes

This has been discussed in god knows how many other posts, but half-lit football experts keep making new threads because they have to find new ways of saying that any coaches who actually might know what's happening are stupid. Pocic himself was quoted, yesterday, I think, that he likes center.
