Alabama is well Alabama and always a tough task, frankly I think LSU matches up talent wise with them very well

Auburn returns a team that played for a national Championship, they lost a few key contributors but they have one of the innovative coaches in CFB

Ole Miss Freeze can recruit and it has shown, they've improved little by little

Mississippi State well they are state who cares

Arkansas LOL

I don't remember the last time the west was so up in the air. Anyone could take it this year. Hell I'm more worried about Mississippi St. finally beating us this year. Has to happen sometime and this is their best opportunity to do it.

If the offense is 3/4 of what it was last year, and the defense is 1/4 better, I like our chances.

agree

They needed 2 miracles and some last minute drives to make it there and they lose the interior of the DL and their RB all of which were the most important parts of their run.

7-6 and 8-5 so far under Freeze. They've had one really good recruiting class, but they are still low on depth. They are good, but I don't think they are a threat to win the West. THey are more of just a threat to prevent a team from winning it like they did with us last year.

I think aTm will be good, not great this year. I think JFF made Sumlin's offense look more potent than it is. Their defense was bad last year, should be better, but won't be good and the offense takes a huge step back.

At the end of the day, the west will be what it usually is. A race between LSU, Bama, and Auburn.

The conference as a whole is so young and no one has a clear advantage. And then of course everyone says 2015 is our year, but that will be everyone else's year too haha. I just wish we could have one year where we are loaded with three year starting veterans and everyone else has brand new qbs. But, this is why I love college football so much.

All of the top teams have new starting QBs including LSU. Auburn is the exception, and although I think Gus is a solid coach, they have too much to replace and got pretty lucky last year in some games.

The west is wide open IMO.

Not expecting too much, but they are worth a mention by the OP - at least as good as Moo U. Could be somebody's spoiler.

Disagree, their backups are much more talented than LSU's. Bama made that arse quit three games in a row.

And? LSU lost their entire offense production

Sumlin coached teams were putting up these type numbers way before Manziel showed up. It's not like that team doesn't have playmakers.

This is not true. Bama got lucky to beat LSU in 2012. LSU dominated that game - from start to 58:30.

Sumlin, whom I think is a good coach as well, has only played in the the SEC w/ Manziel. Sumlin went 5-7 in his 3rd year at Houston and actually lost more games in his 2nd year at TAMU w/ Manziel.

AU- 2-3 loss team. (souls were sold this past year)

Piss- LSU talent & recruiting > OM talent & recruiting

MSU- See 2000-2013

Alabama- only reason I'm confident about this game is it'll be the true unveiling of the expansion. should be rocking (even though history says road team wins)

AU- they got too lucky too many times, and I watched us steam roll them in the first half. I'm still convinced if Les wanted to we could have put up 60

Piss-revenge factor. at home, this game might get ugly

MSU- 87 in a row

Arkansas- frick Arkansas

Someone says this every year... They have a sick arse QB in dak Prescott but the rest of the team goes down from last year.

we have a great schedule and alabama is going through changes and on a losing streak and comes to baton rouge with a new qb. we own auburn of late regardless. just like we did a&m the past 2 seasons.. even if they had good offenses and no d. we can and should beat both mississippi schools and arkansas.
