It may not rain in Tiger Stadium, but what are the chances we are rained on Friday night and all day Saturday. Just thinking about how Mobile, AL. got hammered all day long when Gustov hit in Houma.

More likely Thursday night (tonight) and tomorrow. In any event, gonna be very windy through tomorrow night.

Weather.com says 30% but you know how that goes...

I think we will see a lot of rain Thursday night and Friday during the day. Saturday may get some squally weather with a lot of hit or miss showers. It will be like a normal summer day with a downpour for 10 minutes and then clear sunshine. This is just what I've read.

We will be fine on Saturday, little rain but nothin major. BTW Mobile, Al didn't get hammered at all as I had friends there that I talked to during the storm and said that the rain was nothing more then an average rain. If we get treated like Mobile it would be fine.

Parts of the Mobile area got hammered all day long....maybe you should realize that people that went through it might know more than what your friends told you.

Every single time NOAA updates this thing moves more and more east.
Yesterday when they announced the game would be on the projected track of the storm was a lot different then it is today.
Keep an eye on this storm guys. If their projections continue to move east this game might still be in jeapordy.

Look at the 7 AM Sat. and 7 AM Sunday points. The 7 PM Saturday kick off makes it easy to estimate where the eyewall will be at that time.
If that thing shifts much more to the east, the weather may be severe enough that the officals stop play.

I live in west mobile, just inside the city limits, and we got some steady rain for most of the day and part of the night when Gustav hit. It stopped just about 2 hrs after it got dark though. Power stayed on but flickered twice and wasn't out for more than 10 minutes.

Obviously you do not have Entergy as your provider?

My point in saying that Mobile got hammered was that Mobile looks to be about as far east of Houma, where Gustov hit, as BR is to Houston/Galveston. All they talked about on the Weather Channel was how the worst rain and tornado potential was in the outer bands from Mobile back into Florida.
While the game may still go on, sitting at the top of the West Upper Deck in 20-30mph wind and rain will test everyone's loyalty.
