Players sticking together, forming a brotherhood over several years, and winning championships. That is how it's supposed to be done. Respect to Hill for trying if true.

I really do not understand Hill staying another year. He had a great year. Doesn't he stand to make millions in the NFL right now?

Anyone have a clue?

Legal issues, loyalty, personal preference?

I heard he feels he owes LSU another great year for sticking behind him through all his legal troubles. Pretty honorable IMO to turn down millions just to clear your name up. Because he really doesn't owe anybody anything but I applaud him for staying

Some people plan for the next six years.

Some people plan for the next sixty years.

The NFL will always be there. His job will be waiting for him.

But all of them have a chance to improve their value and create memories to tell their grandkids about. When LSU is over, it's over. There's no going back.

Not to mention his ceiling is probably 3rd round. He comes back and plays a full (hopefully) 14 games, I think stock rises significantly.

I also think Turner will be the one needing convincing

I hope that having such great players who are willing to forgo millions in the NFL debunks the notion that the LSU staff--Miles specifically-are idiots and bad coaches. If such players feel like they have a shot at a national championship yearly (and such players as LF jumping on board), then clearly the coaching stuff must be doing something right and instilling a champion's attitude and faith in the players.

they aren't forgoing anything. they are delaying money now for money later; 12 months later.

seems like some on here are like they are losing millions of dollars and that's inaccurate. also, they have a great chance to actually make more money via a higher pick and get their degree which will serve them their entire life.

he owes it to himself to do the right thing by honoring the committment and perseverance that LSU and the state of Louisiana have shown in him. if he stays it will show the many who helped him become a man that their efforts were not lost on one who only thinks of himself. whatever he decides to do I will support him and hope that he continues to grow as a talent and a man.

If you don't think a kid delaying instant millionaire status at the risk of injury and lower performance numbers (our offensive output is sure to be less next season) speaks highly of the LSU program, then you're just being willfully obtuse.

Hill, according to the advocate.com, is trying to convince both Collins and LSU guard Trai Turner to stick around and open his rushing lanes in 2014.

Do your work Mr. Hill. It's guys like this that you get the sense love LSU and Les Miles. Despite Hill's problems in the past, he plays with passion and determination and is an asset to the team for his work to improve himself and the team.

This is a very rare occurance. Most have left for the nfl as soon as they have had the chance. You should take off the purple and gold glasses sometime.

If they both come back we're going to be pushing 3000 yards rushing for the season
