Bet Herschel wishes he'd gone to the NFL out of UGA. Anyway, nice gesture on his part.

Huh, what? He was able to leave after his junior year to go made a boatload of money in the USFL.

The quote was from TMZ Sports. For all we know Walker might have been trolling with them or trying to get them to leave him the frick alone. After all, those leeches are the scum of the earth.

Let's remember that Walker was a two-time All-American in track and field and was a member of a 4x100m relay squad that won the SEC title. He at one time held the world record in the 60-yard dash (6.15 seconds) and was eventually surpassed by Olympic gold medalist Carl Lewis. Herschel's best 100m time was a 10.23 while Fournette's is around a 10.67/8. Adrian Peterson even ran a sub-10.5 100m.

Fournette very well might go down as one of the greatest ever, but he is not quite in the same realm, right now, as Walker and Jackson when it comes to pure athleticism and speed.

His supporting cast sucked though, thus he was never a "great" pro, even after he moved over to the NFL. Money only means so much. Regardless, good words for him to say about Leonard.

Lucky enough to have seen both play in college. Both of those guys are and were Must See players. Don't care if you are not Tiger and Dawg fan, you'll watch their highlights no matter. Hershel was special and I'm glad to see he is still humble about his game but he maybe right. This kid maybe better.

Straight line speed and game speed are 2 different things

He definitely has game speed

Not sure what any of this has to do with who the better football player is.

It's really not that outlandish of a claim. Herschel's career YPC at Georgia was 5.3.
His number of carries per game was insane though. Talk about running a guy into the ground. He averaged 35 carries/game his sophomore season. That is crazy.

I met him when I was much younger and he was extremely nice, talked for a bit, took pictures, etc. Just a decent dude that happens to be a freak athlete just like Fournette. The comparison is pretty solid all around.

While Fournette's strength and size is comparable to Walker, I think Walker has the edge when it comes to breakaway speed and arguable acceleration.

However, Fournette appears to have developed a bit of shake-and-bake and agility to his game that he seemed to lack at times last year. Therefore, Fournette is arguably a tad more nimble on his feet.

Weren't they still running 100 yards not meters then? If so, Hershel ran 91 meters.

LF ran that in high school. We have no idea what his 100m time would be now.
