Herman was never going to stay here for very long.
As soon as Texas came calling he would jump.
Screw him and Jimbo too.

LSU pussed out and didn't want to be elite.

Texas did whatever was needed ton secure him.

It's why they are Texas and we are LSU.

Um, both jobs were open now, and by all accounts Herman wanted LSU. Whatever the reasons were, be it money or Herman wanting to talk with Texas, it seems LSU backed out, not Herman.

Anyone who thinks Texas is an easy job.

The politics and admin TH will have to deal with, and still put up top 10 teams for the fans and alumni... it's unlike anywhere else.

At least at places like LSU and Bama it's all about the football and little else.

Their defense was trash in that game. LSU wasn't hiring him to coach defense.

If Herman verbally agreed to a deal then backed out, then he doesnt deserve to be at the great LSU. Period.

In fairness, Alleva was reluctant to go 6 million+ for somebody that really hadn't done shite.

I would've been too.

I'm starting to see this pop up. Herman didn't back out of anything. By all accounts he wanted to be the coach of LSU. But, this idea that he really wanted the Texas job seems to be the way for some of you to ignore how LSU screwed up. Just make stuff up and pass the blame to Herman.

Baton Rouge v Austin ?

Baton Rouge isn't full of a bunch of liberal, hipster douche bags. frick Austin. I live in Texas so I'm not commenting about someplace I haven't been.
