Texas isn't the program it used to be. LSU has just as much to offer as Texas. Herman knows he can go to the shitty big 12 and dominate. He knows the SEC west is the toughest division with the best coach in the country. Frick him, he didn't have the chest to lead LSU.

Just how dumb are you? LSU wouldn't pay him.

In fairness, Alleva was reluctant to go 6 million+ for somebody that really hadn't done shite.

UT hired the flavor of the month. They will pay 8 Mil per year for a 2 mil coach. They will find out Strong > TH

Strong was basically the worst coach Texas had ever had by record, so no, Tom Herman probably won't be worse than him.

I agree with everybody else on here. Herman simply did not have the chest to come to BR. Plus, Coach Eaux talks like my paw-paw, so it was an easy choice.

I agree. Herman to TX feels a lot like Sumlin to A&M.

One, as others have said, Herman didn't choose Texas. Two, I don't even get the fit at Texas. They have a terrible defense. LSU was perfect for him.

Dominate my arse. He will have to work his arse off to do that in a few years.

Ditto for Fisher which is why he priced himself out of the job. He wanted no part of this gig without a 10 year guarantee. So, he stayed to play in the weak league he is in.
