The 2010 season will be "therapeutic". It will leave no doubt there is ZERO chance of maintaining an elite status vs. other schools with this bunch of clowns. Things have to hit bottom first so nobody can defend these incompetent fools and face the fact they are liabilities to the future of the football program.
Cheers to the Posi-Tigers and their upbeat attitudes, but you have to be realistic about this meltdown.

Kudos to whatever channel, 5/9 or 705/709, showed the other two back up QBs throwing the ball into the ground as Miles said he has confidence in the two walkon QBs. (Classic)

Seems like Crowton tries to fit square pegs in round holes. They recruited a ton of spread offense people, they were short handed on decent linemen, so they tried some sort of hybrid offense that was awful.
In August JJ couldnt grasp what was needed as a true spread QB, that he is apparently ill suited to run. Crowton didnt trust his OL and refused to change from the base spread so they "dumbed down" the entire playbook as a compromise once it was too late in the season to scrap what they had already put in.
ie, the awful option game and the dreaded sprint handoffs and bubble screens
Lee's confidence is shot, the coach's confidence in him as a leader is shot. He is an even worse fit as a spread QB, so putting him behind that OL as a pocket passer would have gotten him killed. So he wasn't a viable alternative because they coaches were afraid they would lose the team.
They rarely trust either QB to throw over the middle unless it is man coverage, so teams sat in zone and stuffed the run. When they blitzed JJ and gave him man he is pretty good if he gets rid of the ball.
So we had the perfect storm of suck

You got my vote. Hope for the best, don't give up on the kids, but be realistic. A good line and a good defense will make a lot of folks jump on the bandwagon again.

I must say, I couldn't have said it better myself. Bravo!

They are all clowns? The whole staff? Are there any non-clowns?

Here's why this is a colossal fail on the part of Les Miles

Wit no legitimate QB back-up, LSU is right where it was 2-3 years ago
So if ZL would've signed, that would've given us a legitimate backup?
Not this year, but maybe next year, and certainly the year after that. As it is there's nothing behind Lee & JJ. Getting a good QB recruit next year, unless it is out of JUCO, means in 2012 the best we will have is a true sophomore.
That isn't exactly good planning now is it.
I guess since Les played in the line he doesn't put too much value on QBs.
