He's not good. The sooner everyone accepts that he can't play quarterback at this level, the better. Unfortunately, he's the best we have right now. It's either him or the guy that couldn't win the fricking Purdue job.

Harris is not a division 1 QB.

No, he doesn't That's when he looks the worst.

You pick Miss State, a game he entered when State thought it was over, and played prevent. What about last November's games in which we lined up in shotgun and spread a lot? He sucked!

Harris may have loads of physical talent but just can't get the job done. Can't blame play calling or the offensive scheme for poor decision-making, frequent "panic attacks", and consistent inaccuracy (e.g., throwing too high). A good QB has to do much more than just throw hard and far.

When did we "spread Wisconsin out" on Saturday? I don't remember seeing a single four receiver set.

They will still put 7 in the box and dare Harris to throw... we loss 8 yards on the sack.

You just don't get it either. Who offered him the scholly. The problem is simple. Miles recruits players and forced them to fit his system, instead of recruiting players that fit the system. Take a long look at Bama. Why can Nick plug and play. He recruits to his system. Flynn and Zack fit what Miles wants to do. Those players fit that style. Harris would flourish at Auburn and be no better at Bama than he is now. Because he does not fit Nicks system. If Miles want change then LSU needs to make a change.

The problem is there are not many high schools in LA that run our system and if they do the QB may not be worthy of a scholarship. We have to recruit out of state and most worthy QB's running a pro style offense do not want to come to LSU or do not want to sit the bench and end up leaving so I think a lot of the problem is finding the right guys out of high school

Did you see Texas last year? It's not xs and os it's the Jimmy vs the joe. Texas couldn't pass the ball last year because the didn't have a qb who could throw the ball. Now they Do. Brandon Harris will never be able to throw the ball like that kid from Texas or Kizer from notre dame. ( because as you noticed Zaire isn't a very good qb either yet has the same coaching as kizer, again, not coaching just arm talent) I've been saying this for a long time. It's not les's inability to develop a qb it's hid inability to find one. Look at Texas after Mccoy left and they still had mac. Same staff that coached Mccoy and young and were willing to change there offense to fit there personnel. It didn't matter though when they no longer had a good qb talent wise and it doesn't matter what star they are some guys just aren't good qbs. The ones les had brought to lsu this last decade for the most part have been bad qbs. You notice the one year we get a decent one in mett all of a sudden cam doesn't look so bad calling plays. It's talent at the qb position that's holding us back. Not development

I feel for him but, we need a QB to perform gameday not on practice field.

Harris has had 3 years to improve his accuracy. He hasn't. How much of the playbook goes unused because you can't depend on your QB to throw a catchable pass on a 5 yard slant? Harris has had 3 years to develop timing and anticipating when receivers will be open in order to deliver the ball to receivers in space. He has shown neither. His passes are almost always late enough arriving that opposing defenders can challenge the catch or make tackles before the receivers can even try to avoid the tackle.

The best LSU can hope for from Harris is that he does not make bad plays that lose any more games for them. They can not expect him to make good plays that win any games. The fix for Harris is to replace him with someone who will improve with experience, and develop into a QB who can make plays that win games for LSU.

If Les Miles does not use other QBs against the cupcakes on LSUs schedule, then I can only conclude they are completely lacking in talent. That is an unacceptable situation for LSU, and a major failing on the part of Les Miles as the leader of the football program.

I'll agree our offense system is flawed but BH is still the main problem. He can't pass with any accuracy and he panics. The third pass of the game he is running left with plenty of time to throw and has a wide open receiver and he missed him by 5 yards;it wasn't even close. And how can you explain the last pass when he turned and just threw the ball? He did have a receiver within 10 yards but he never looked to see if there were any defenders in the area. And in that situation, with the game on the line , it was inexcusable. He has no poise nor any football intelligence.

I know he has probably worked hard to improve and wants to succeed but after this many starts and playing in this many games,if he can't improve by now,it just isn't going to happen.I feel sorry for the young man and for the team.

Harris was unbelievable in High school. He's a good QB in a very bad offensive system. That's on the coaches.

Not true. Us fans just want to blame everything on the coaches. In high school, Harris completed 51% of his passes. So far at LSU, his completion percentage is 54%. Saturday, he was 57%. It's just who he is. Not a knock against him. The coaches don't do a good job at helping get guys in space and create matchup problems. He's just not a very accurate QB. We've seen time and time again him missing wide open receivers. He can be a very good runner. It seems like if it isn't a designed run though, he is scared to tuck and run. A few times Saturday he could've picked up huge chunks of yards, including the last play but instead he tries to force something.

but Harris must play better.

He is working hard. He is trying his best. He is a likable guy. He has a rocket of an arm. He is NOT CAPABLE of seeing the field. He has not developed touch since his strong tendency is to throw a dart with said strong arm. His footwork, despite great effort in off-season, defaulted to awful when in real games. He has no capacity to maintain mental composure when his first read/reaction is not available. This is the total story on Harris. HE IS UN_DEVLOPABLE. Play Lindset AND Epling NOW. The Harris experiment has been WAY TOO COSTLY and it is NOT WORKING. ENOUGH!

Seems he's been given sideline routes only; "safest though - your or out of bounds." I don' t remember any through a over middle i.e. slant.

Believe this adds to playing with his mind.
