none of those schools have the same recruiting conditions as LSU.

And UCLA? Miami? I thought you would use Texas, Florida, and USC

And he took a program trending upward at LSU, plateaued it and then trended it downward.

If 2011 doesn't happen, it makes it very clear Miles is nothing more than a very average coach. 2011 is what baffles me though, and keeps me from saying average.

No. Look at Miles first year here. He had that team locked and loaded. Looked at Gundys first year. That team was shite

That is the toughest sos any LSU team has played in the history of the program.

Only two coaches at LSU has finished AP #1.

You guys have a false sense of the type of program LSU has been throughout its history.

Yet somehow any idiot can just cruise and pick up win after win and win multiple titles?

I mean...yeah, but it did happen

it showed that Miles could turn around a team that was moving downward from the 08 and 09 season

Miles wasn't going to survive 2010 if he didn't win like he did

there it is

Miles wins more with Sabans players, Saban gifted him the players

Gundy wins less with Miles players, Miles left the cupboard dry

Harbaugh may or may not be able to coach. He's been at UM for 1.25 seasons and is 13-3 overall. That is the exact same record as Miles in his first 16 games at LSU.

Miles has coached in a way tougher environment in the SEC West than Harbaugh. I'm not saying Miles is a better coach than Harbaugh but I am saying we don't know yet.

I mean is it not true? The trends seem to make that very obvious Salmon

Gundy has proven to be better than Miles, so his 4-7 first year makes it seem fairly obvious the team was shite when handed to him

Saban has been proven to be in GOAT status, so it seems fairly obvious the team Miles had was stacked(the NFL production also shows it)

But, you put your head in the sand and post an emoji

Oh I think harbaugh is a better coach. Would he fit at LSU? Prob not.

I'm just arguing this bullshite that he can't coach just because he's lost some games that everyone else in the country would have lost.

I honestly think that if a group of successful coaches at any level sat around in a circle and seriously talked football scheming, formations, zones, techniques, etc that Miles would have a hard time doing so. He has had his success built on a plethora of talented players and coaches around him which I can give credit to him for finding. Now it's time to adapt and he has no clue how to. Hell he was an O-lineman and coach and our OL is always mediocre
