That is a fair statement. However, other than the poor goat farmers of College Station, Miles has not lived up to those classes with consistent production in the SEC for years.

I think you get the point, but by nitpicking a subset of the argument, you may think you are instilling some doubt where there is none at all.

Why doesn't he say that about stoops ? Or chip Kelly? And there is other coaches who were at major programs and lost some big games and had down years.

You are correct except Miles blunders are far more embarrassing

Just what has Harbaugh actually done?
Take an embarrassing program in Stanford and go 12-1 and win the orange bowl. Go to the Nfl and make 2 NFC Championship games and make a super bowl. Go to a dumpster fire program in Michigan, and have them 10-3 year one, and top 10 in the country year 2.

Lets not pretend Harbaugh isnt a better coach than Miles

Les Miles is far from perfect but this BS "can't coach" shite is just cheese for the haters. You don't win at Okie State for 4 yrs and at LSU for 11 and counting without being a good coach. The statement is just stupid.

Here's how the Dan Patrick show works from seeing it on remote. Patrick shows up about 15-20 minutes before show starts with 3 large starbucks somethings.

He gets a fax of about 10-15 papers with "topics" to discuss. They come from those 4 morons that he has with him. He'll browse thru and find the things he'll bring up.

He himself has zero credibility. He's basically reading what someone else's opinion is. He is a fraud and wears a head piece. His time was 20 years ago on SC. He has no relevancy whatsoever.

The difference is that in both of their cases, they had legit defenses (their areas of expertise) and their offenses were mediocre.

the difference is that they lost a lot of games

Miles has been able to win at a consistent enough rate to keep his job for 11 years now

below average coaches do not have that type of longevity

Top 5 classes are not comparable to top 15 classes when talking about consistency over a long period of time.

Miles was 28-21 in 4 seasons. The record for the 4 seasons before was 21-24

this has been proven to be false by a number of more high profile schools than LSU
