Cutcliffe is the most successful coach at Duke since Spurrier.

How many bad hires did he go through before Cutcliffe though?

I won't be that hard. You can take 80% coaches and put them at LSU and win 8-9 games a year off of talent alone. When Louisiana recruits leave the state it's because of CLM. The in state talent, plus with LSU being the main school makes LSU a dream job

This is what people have said at Texas, Miami, and many other schools. What don't you people understand about this?

And you really pointing to Les's poor recruiting as a reason to fire him?

Some of you people are delisional.

Each one of those schools share their state with other power 5 schools. LSU has a monopoly on the talent in Louisiana, no other program that's in a talent rich state can say that. You can win 8-9 games a year with just Louisiana recruits.

I'm not sure how much say Aleva will have... He is the front man or fall guy though...

I'm sure Florida thought the same thing when they brought in Muschamp.

Don't be so disillusioned! Coaches aren't dying to come to LSU. Add Alleva to the mix. He's not competent enough to hire a football coach. He's a basketball man and screwed up with his first basketball hire.

Besides, if Les is let go, there's going to be a gap in recruiting and other schools will press our recruits to change their decision.

Allevas hires don't worry me. The fact he fell for Leslie's bluff about going to Arkansas is what's scary.

Were you even alive in 80s and 90s? You think it's that easy?

Beth Torina was his best hire. TBH I saw upside in here but never did I see her creating such an elite program so quickly. The program will be a top ten team for the next 4-6 years minimum. Her recruiting from her first couple of classes have changed, you will definitely like these next few classes a lot. A lot of power and athleticism. We currently have the #6 class next year, although recruiting rankings will change quite a bit

Though it was very underwhelming at the time, Torina has proven to be a home run hire.

However, did Alleva really make the decision in regards to the Johnny Jones hire? I was always under the impression that Dale Brown and former players played the biggest role in making that call.
