Hanagriff is becoming a complete dumbass

Riley is 24-4 over the last two seasons with 2 conference titles, 2 hesiman trophy winners, 2 playoff appearances, and no failures on his resume

Orgeron is 19-7 over the last two seasons with 0 conference titles, 0 playoff appearances, and a huge failure on his resume

Comparing the two is fricking idiotic

There's an ocean between LSU and Bama. It's really only a slow flowing creek between OU and Bama. They're close.

You'd probably be saying that about LSU and UGA also, but you can't

Sure you can. Despite LSU beating Georgia this season (which Orgeron deserves a ton of credit for), UGA has accomplished more these past two seasons than LSU.

2 SEC Championship game appearances.
1 SEC Title
1 Playoff Appearance
1 CFP Finals Appearance
And they were super close to making it to the playoffs again.

Would you really trade a win against Georgia for all of what they accomplished the past two seasons?

Bama could be on the cusp of a long, slow decline.. or they could dominate the next decade.

Unfortunately, I fear the date of that decline will not begin until Nick Saban retires.

I said SEC.

We could look at Texas losing to Maryland two years in a row as well, if we are going to pick out specific teams and games.

No, he's just a paid spokesperson for the LSU program. It's that simple.

The LSU program is putting out the message that LSU cannot compete with Alabama.

So we aren't in the same universe as UGA? Yet dominated them on the field this season?

They have roughly the same winning percentages since taking over their teams with UGA's schedule slightly easier in the East. Kirby still hasn't beaten Saban either.

Orgeron: 10 wins vs ranked opponents since becoming HC
Smart: 10 wins vs ranked opponents since becoming HC

You don't really want to compare us to Texas. We are ever so lucky that this will be Herman's first great class and that ed had NFL talent everywhere when he got here.

When you are playing for national titles every single year, yes you can only go down......

Its what the market bears.
Oklahoma needs to pay that to keep their coach and he seems to be worth it.
I don't think the football world is beating a path to hire Orgeron.
If anybody else wants to pay him 5 mil they can have him as far as I am concerned.

You mean the same Notre Dame that beat LSU in 2017? You want that schedule?

You can’t lose to Troy and get beat down by Miss State and expect to dominate ND, Clemson and OU’s schedule.
We couldn’t beat a dumpster fire UF team, then a rebuilding UF team. But we were gonna run through their schedules...

Where some of you all come from blows my mind.

I definitely think the SEC is still one of the best conferences out there but I don't see how people are putting down these other conferences saying they are one team leagues

Same could be said about the SEC and Alabama

Ok, let's use this logic. Surely you have no problem with me saying LSU isn't in the same universe as Troy right? I remember them kicking our arse on the field. So, that means Troy is on a totally different level than LSU right? I'm using your own argument, with different teams, so you can't disagree with me right?

Kirby still hasn't beaten Saban either.

Why don't we compare LSU's last two games against Bama to UGA's last two games against Bama? Let's also take note of the stage that UGA played Bama on in both games. UGA was there, we were not.

Orgeron: 10 wins vs ranked opponents since becoming HC
Smart: 10 wins vs ranked opponents since becoming HC

That's fine. Then you shouldn't use your previous argument of UGA playing in the weaker east. It seems they are pretty damn similar.

I just think we need to focus on winning the games on our schedule we should win.

We can go back and look and our schedule over the last 3-5yrs and point out games we should have won.
Forget Bama, just focus on the other 11. And then ask ourselves why hasn’t LSU made the playoffs.
We can say “with another schedule we would do blah blah blah”, no, because we’re not going 11-1, with our only loss to the team who’s so called “oceans difference”.

I’m not even arguing against O anymore. Just win. 6-2 then 5-3 in the SEC is not improving for those doing the math.
