Don't like any of the local candidates. I hope the National ones are solid and get it and this is just an LSU courtesy. Hanagriff is fine for what he does now. Play by Play? I don't see it. Wright is a "you have to be kidding me" category. If no National candidate gets it, I'll go with Rollins as my favorite.

Hanagriff might be knowledgeable, but his voice is absolutely horrible.
Just go hire an announcer with a professional sounding voice from a smaller school, like they did to get Hawthorne.

Hanagriff as the color guy with a smooth sounding national guy and Gordy on the sidelines would be perfect for football. Same thing for baseball w/ Rantz in the dugout. For basketball you have Blanton as the color guy. The main guy needs to be a big talent.

If they give it to Netherton or Rollins i'll flip my shite. Rollins has the worst voice ever and is corny as frick.
Netherton was calling some of the sun belt tournament and he reminded me of tommy krysan he was so hickish.

I like Hanagriff's honest and smart commentary too much for him to get roped into the football booth.
I think people who have dogged Hawthorne will miss him in the 2016 football season, especially if it's Rollins. He's a little too hokey for my taste ("pucker up", etc.).

I think Netherton would be the best "local" guy but just the fact that they leaked those names means NONE of them are getting it! It will be a national name otherwise there is no reason for secrecy!

Lynn Rollins is wonderful as the play-by-play/color man for minor league baseball in a small city, such as he was for the Alexandria Aces.

Dude...I don't know. But certainly a nation wide search can come up better than the candidates they have now huh ??
I guess Patrick Wright has a nice commanding voice but Hanagriff ? Love me some Hanney breaking down postgame coverage but not broadcasting a game.
