When I was working I had to go to London in January a few years in a row...I actually liked that time of year there. Summer is too darn crowded. If you like Gin go to the Ginstitue on Portebello Rd. You can just have drinks at the bar or do a tour and make your own gin. Fun thing to do indoor...

I did a class with Josephina...google her. It was really good. You pick out your dishes ahead of time from a list that she sends via email. When you arrive the group heads to the local market to pick out ingredients; then back to her house to cook. In addition to the main meal you learn to make ...

One of the best meals I've ever had in my life was at Gary Danko - I highly recommend it. Expensive but the service and food was totally outstanding! Well worth it...
I had a cocktail reception for my 50th birthday at Ralph's on the Park. It was great - upstairs room with a balcony that overlooked City Park. In additon to passed appetizers we had carved beef tenderloin and pistolettes for a 'heartier' snack so we didn't get too wasted....
I know what you mean....I kind of thought they looked like whitie tighties...

Sorry to hijack the thread but I have a related question. I have some crab meat in the freezer...if I make a seafood gumbo this weekend can I subsequently freeze the gumbo? I'm thinking 'no'.......

You have to use a non-reactive pot when cooking okra. Typically cast iron or aluminum will turn the okra black....
