06 and 07, both of these qb's were developed by Jimbo! Once he left for FSU we went in the tank at that position. In 2011 it seemed that every other drive started around midfield and TM7 was probably averaging 7 points a game by himself. On this offense, COACH CAM'S offense, he has developed Mett to where he should be. I like CLM, but your a damn fool if you think this is his offense. Get off his nuts already. I'm glad he did his job as CEO and hired somebody to delegate power to, Coach Cam. Without Coach Cam we would lose 5-6 games this year. What a biased pos.

Get off his nuts already? Why don't you give the man some credit already? You can't blame Miles every time the offense is bad yet never give him credit when it does well.

Some of you people simply amaze me. Most accomplished coach LSU has ever had in history and you go crazy when someone tries to say something positive about him.

Never ever have I gave the man credit for a good offense or a bad offense. It's his job to hire the coaches needed to do that. He knew we needed an OC, though many idiots continually defended Stud or made dumb comments such as, who is gonna pay the buyout or if he fires Stud who do ya suggest we geaux get. CLM personally thanked Coach Cam after the TCU game publicly. Like I said without Coach Cam this offense sucks, we lose 5-6 games and it's a dumpster fire.

'Seems' will get you every time. I ran the numbers recently and avg starting position for 11 vs 06 was roughly 3.5 yards, which can largely be accounted for with the difference in spot of the kickoff

This is the same crap that was posted here in 08 and 09.

The only constant in 8 yrs and 6 games is Les Miles.

Sooner or later some will wake up and smell the coffee bout the unmatched success Les has helped LSU to achieve, but then again....maybe not.

Scoring offense isn't exactly indicative of total offensive production. Having great defenses goes a long way into setting up lots of scoring opportunities.

Exactly. I can't even take people seriously anymore who criticize him. Let them be miserable and find something to bitch about after every game. I'll actually enjoy LSU football in the meantime.

It also limits yardage available to be gained by the offense.

All that good starting position the D, Brad Wing, and great kickoff returns got us in 2011 led to a lot of points, but limited yardage.

I never complain after every game. Geaux look at my posts from the past. I like CLM. I never blamed offensive woes on him or defensive woes on him. If ya can't be honest enough to admit the obvious significant change in the offense between this season and last season idk what to tell ya. I can see the drastic improvement and it's due to CLM hiring Coach Cam. It's Cam's offense and it's obvious. I love the hire I live how CLM handles the kids, I love the state of the program. I just believe it's completely delusional to say this offense or any other offense is CLM or the defense for that matter. He is about to land one of the best classes in school history. I give him the credit for that. He is the winningest coach at LSU, I credit him for that. He has hired one of the best staffs in the nation, I credit him for that. He is one damn fine football coach, I credit him for that. Your generalizing of me is completely opposite of how I feel as an LSU fan. I am always optimistic as an LSU fan and always excited about tomorrow!

How many of these were special team and defensive TD's? Just wondering.

Also, could we please not count games against cupcakes. Those 48-10 wins over Northwest New Mexico Southern A&M and such schools only distorts the picture. Let us know how the Tigers fared against the normal 8, 9 or 10 legit opponents they face each year and that'll give us a better indication of how good the offenses have been.

I don't recall one person stating either of those points on here. Stud was initially an interim OC due to Krag's illness. After they way 11 turned out, and the fact that the team thought QB play would improve with Mett, Les decided not to make a change. As the season went on, he realized that was a mistake and as soon as Cam got fired, Les jumped on the opportunity to get him.

pure speculation because you don't know who the OC would be if Cam had turned Les down...

Oh...and learn to use the quote function, your posts are hard to read.

Why not?

He is the HEAD football coach at LSU and as such, he is "the buck stops here" responsible for the results of LSU football...both good and bad.

There is nothing wrong with some complaining. We all do it. It's when that complaining appears to come without any appreciation for how tough it is in the college/SEC football of today to do the things the Les Miles LSU teams have done that give me pause to question the college football intelligence of those doing that constant complaining.

Never before in college football history has the SEC been so very dominating with 4 SEC teams owning BCSNC since 05 and at this same time LSU has been the very most successful in our history.

I don't give a flying flip how Miles does it or who anyone wants to give credit to for the success, that's a damn strong statement bout LSU and Les Miles.

I do recall reading last year among all the back and forth people asking who was gonna pay the buy out for firing Stud and who do we think we will actually land as OC. I'm sure of it and on more than one occasion. But hey your getting side tracked. My point was simply, it's not CLM offense and the op tried to articulate that some how, CLM is some offensive genius that is the architecture of the best offensive scheme ever. It's simply dumb. CLM is a great coach who makes the proper changes when he knows they are needed. Coach Cam was a slam dunk hire and Coach Cam's offense in 2013 is by far the best offense I have ever seen.
