If so, please name the bowl game that you were invited to in the last 2 years that would back up your logic? We were invited to the Rose Bowl, and then the National BCS title game. How about you?

UO's bowl appearances.

1917 Rose Bowl • 1920 Rose Bowl • 1949 Cotton Bowl Classic • 1958 Rose Bowl • 1960 Liberty Bowl • 1963 Sun Bowl • 1989 Independence Bowl • 1990 Freedom Bowl • 1992 Independence Bowl • 1995 Rose Bowl • 1996 Cotton Bowl Classic • 1997 Las Vegas Bowl • 1998 Aloha Bowl • 1999 Sun Bowl • 2000 Holiday Bowl • 2002 Fiesta Bowl • 2002 Seattle Bowl • 2003 Sun Bowl • 2005 Holiday Bowl • 2006 Las Vegas Bowl • 2007 Sun Bowl • 2008 Holiday Bowl • 2010 Rose Bowl • 2011 BCS National Championship Game #

For the record, two years history doesn't make a program.

Try two NC's in the last 7 years. That's 2 more than UO.... ever.

You can't really be trying to compare program prestige now can you? Seriously, Oregon had a couple of good seasons and seems to be on the rise, but you're sitting here throwing 'you don't know us' comments to a team that plays 3-6 teams in the Top 25 with typically atleast two of those teams being top 10 EVERY YEAR. Oregon still does not have a marquis win under Chip Kelly, unless you count Stanford, who also does not have a marquis win. It is you, who have not proven yourself yet. Not us.

LSU would sleep its way into a BCS game the last two seasons if it were in the pac 10. True story.

I'm not sure why you are upset about being a 2nd tier program. Oregon has been in that zone forever. Maybe one day you will reach the status of an elite program. But two good seasons and 0 national championships does not lift you from 2nd tier. Come talk to us then.

Look at Vegas in the next month or two and see which team will be favored. Vegas does not like to lose money. Ask Vegas which team will be favored. There is no doubt it will be UO.

When you can produce a decent QB, please let me know and come back and talk.

I hope like hell that UO is favored, Heavily!

When the line opens locally, I'm going to pay for my trip. I'm still sitting on money left over from the Cotton Bowl, and I never bet on LSU, always against so that I win either way, but the betting public forced me to cash in.

The line will move LSU's way, wherever it opens, so be sure to wait 'til the last minute to place your wager, while I try to get in as early as possible.

Doesn't matter who's favored. We'll see who wins the game.

You dont understand how betting lines work too good do you? Do you really think that if oregon is favored and LSU wins or vice versa that vegas loses money? if so.

I win.

Edit: actually... we both LOSE. These three QB's were pretty terrible.

You're like a guy I know that keeps running his mouth while everybody else is laughing and talking about him behind his back with his obnoxious over-the-top lies and exaggerations.

You just don't know when to stop, and you keep doing it. Just keep digging, little one. We had a guy posting here from Apalachian State all during the summer of 08. He would talk, talk, talk, talk, talk alllllll summer long about how they were supposed to beat us like they did Michigan. It actually got me excited about the game because I thought it might be a good game. And from first play from line of scrimmage, Charles Scott rips off about an 80 yard TD and the game was boring and hot from there on. Never have seen the guy show his face since.

I have a feeling you will be here all summer long talking shite and won't show your face after the game.

I want you to stop for a second and ask yourself...do you really think the UO football team could do Seal training if probably 50% of the military couldn't do it? Don't you think there would be a lot more Navye Seals if just any athlete could pull it off? Really. Think about it.

Also - How many teams from the Pac 10 have won valid unsplit national championships since 1973?

How many Pac 10 teams not named USC have ever won unsplit national championships?

Gosh, this is fun.

Clearly Oregon is superior to LSU and the Pac 10 is superior to the SEC in every way...Erin, how many ways is Oregon superior to LSU and the Pac 10 to the SEC?

you have to be kidding me? LSU has produced several great QB's up until Jordan Jefferson.

Matt Flynn, Russell, Matt Mauck, Rohan Davey all in the last decade

Oregon was your QB's 2nd choice

Vegas takes 10% no matter what. Also, LSU and UO are both +1000 to win the BCS next season despite LSU having the hardest schedule in the country

So how will this make your team more talented at playing football?

I think half the football team would fail at the very first part of the list:

- must be able to swim 500 yards in 12 minutes, 30 seconds

He doesn't look at previous years. The extent of his "research" is two years. So in that time we have been stuck with JJ and they have made it with a guy who went to UO because he feared LSU would not play him at QB.

Probably with good reason because he seems to be RS v2.0 with his run first pass second type of thinking.
