Based on the first few days of practive, Lee has totally outshined Jefferson in the passing game. Here is my question, if Lee continues with his performance over Jefferson does Miles have the balls to start Lee over Jefferson in view of all the comments made about who is the starting QB in preseason interviews, etc. THIS IS NOT A THREAD ABOUT WHO IS BEST (LEE OR JEFFERSON),THATS BEEN EXHAUSED TIME AND AGAIN, ITS A QUESTION ABOUT MILES, PERIOD.

"is this a serious thread?"

Did the question confuse you or you just do not have an answer?

I think its a fair question, based on some others I have seen on here (if Miles were a car, what type would it be...etc...)

If Lee obviously outshined Jefferson, would Miles make the switch?

I say no. Not based on how I feel, how I would do. Just on how I feel Miles would do.

Thanks "Roger", you are the only one who took the time to read the question. Are you saying "NO" because of how Miles views Lees performance in actual games?

i don't see switching qb's right now as involving gonads. both guys are only in their 2nd yr for gods sake. consistentcy (sp) is not what you get with 2nd yr guys. i believe miles knows the capabilities of both players and will make his decision accordingly and not on a coupla days of shining in practice. i, for one, believe that neither player has separated himself sufficiently to be the undisputed QB at LSU. both will get PT and both will have the chance to be the man. the last thing a HC needs to do is vascillate daily on who starts. JJ will get his chance like JL did last year. will he solidy the job; i hope so but i am damn glad we have JL there if he doesn't. JL moved the team last year. if he can fix the int.s, we'll see him play for sure. we may end up with a 2 QB deal, like it or not.

Lee seemed to fare pretty well in practice last season but absolutely killed LSU on gamedays. If I'm Les I wouldn't start Lee unless there was no doubt, beyond question, no shadow of a doubt that the team had confidence in him and that I am unsure of

"What is your opinion of Lee's game performance vs. JJ's?" Oh Lord, what a question. Lee looked acceptable until they got into the meat of the schdule and the Harvard boy when down. If anyone ever got thrown in the "frying pan" it was Lee. JJ looked damn good in the bowl game and managed the game very well. So I would say game wise JJ has the advantage.

The only problem w/ starting Lee is that he has proven he can handle the pressure. Lee was a better passer last season and Miles gave him more than enough opportunities to succeed and he failed everytime. Rohan was, by all accounts a terrible practice guy, but in games he'd lite it up. As for me, I'd go w/ the guy who has proven they can handle the pressure and so far, only Jefferson has proven that.
