Notre Dame's defense (and a shite schedule) were more responsible for that undefeated regular season.

When people say this it makes them look really clueless and ignorant.

Here's a good one. 85 FBS teams had less turnovers than Golson last year. There's 128 FBS teams, so about two-thirds of the FBS had less turnovers than Golson.

With LSU's defense I'll take the turnovers if he also produces 30 TDs and 3,500 yards.

What a terrible post.

Golson would be asked to make plays as a pro-style QB in our conservative offense. He would shine in that role because the Tigers are loaded at the skill spots with a solid OL.

The reality is, Golson is what LSU coaches wish Jennings could be - a pro-style QB who can run at times. It's a no brainer to take him.

More than one fricking game as a true freshmen. That's for fricking sure

You gonna cut Golson too after one bad performance?

I wouldn't have that turnover machine on the team. The fact that anyone would consider it shows how fricked we are this season.

I am not worried about one performance. I am more concerned with his inability to desperate himself from arguablythe worst QB in the SEC

He had two more turnovers than this years #1 overall pick Famous Jameis. His team seemed to do pretty well last year in spite of the turnovers. I'd trade a few turnovers for a better passing game

Didn't the SEC make a rule about one and done players? Or was it just reported that they were trying to make a rule?

Would he be a transfer->redshirt, or able to play immediately?

Didn't he lead ND to an undefeated regular season a few years back?

Didn't Jarrett Lee/ Jordan Jefferson lead us to an undefeated season in 2011?

You are crazy. Golson gives us a guy that has started 2 years and a guy who has won big games. If you watched him against Bama 2 years ago, he was the only good thing they had (21/36 270 yards 1 TD 1 int 5 car 1 TD), and he was just a redshirt freshman.

Look at him against Michigan, Navy, Syracuse, UNC, Stanford, and FSU before his collapse. He was putting on a show with a pedestrian running game and a defense that had been losing players for the prior 3 games before his ASU debacle. The fumbles are the only big stain on his resume, and I think that they can be easily corrected.

All he'd have to do is tweet and sign it as "Golswag" ... and a good many ranters would fall in love with him.

Old news. This came out after the bowl game. Then there was all the chatter about the QB from Ohio State too.

You would be wise to increase teh sample size if you want a good picture of what he can do.

At minimum, take a look at the statistics.

We want Golson. He gives BHarris another year to get comfortable and learn the offense. Golson would be a huge upgrade at the QB position. He is also experienced and has played in a nat'l title game. Anyone who says that we don't want this guy doesn't know LSU football. We need one more piece to the puzzle: a Quarterback. Golson is a smart kid; he could easily come in and learn this LSU offense and beat Jennings for the starting job. This guy has raw athletic ability and is a baller. Golson is the answer...
