it would show a lack of faith in the development of two qbs who have PT.
How much more of a lack of faith in LSU's qb development can there be?

Please happen. He already plays in a pass first offense and has two full years of experience and a big arm. Harris can wait another year to take the reigns. I envision a Russell Wilson type of season if this happens.

Golson learns the offense over the summer and practices in the fall and will be good enough to lead us week one. He has a big arm to make all the throws as well, and is a mobile pocket passer.

I'm not against adding competition. I just think anyone who thinks Golson becomes the immediate starter and puts us on the short list of Playoff contenders is sorely mistaken.

If he comes to LSU we are a preseason favorite for the SEC and jump into the top 5 nationally.

let's not get ahead of ourselves. Golson still has his warts, he essentially lost his job by late in the season. and he'd need to get down here, get familiar with what we do offensively (stop laughing), and beat out the other 2. but if he did come in and win the job, with good things being said along the way, I imagine we'd get a nice bump in perception and rankings.

not that I'm that big on preseason rankings. it's LSU and the SEC West. win games and you'll be where you need to be when the dust settles.

Before everyone gets excited about the possibility. I heard the SEC has some kind of rule in place about transfers that were "placed on academic probation" and a waiver from the SEC would be required.

Heard that on satellite radio channel 91 about 15 minutes ago.

Some folks must just love misery.

People want to see Jennings start again ... Harris ride the bench ... so we can see the same futility and then argue all season long.

With the success we had with Bolden, I really see value in bad QBs from up north coming this way

Golson is 10x the quarterback Bolden will ever be

Russell Wilson transition from pass heavy offense to run first pro style

RSJR NCST 58.6% (308/526) 3563 yards (6.8 ypa) 28 TDs 14 ints
144 car (2.93 ypc) 422 yards 9 TDs

RSSR WISC 72.8% (225/309) 3172 yards (10.3 ypa) 33 TDs 4 ints
79 car (4.28 ypc) 338 yards 6 TDs

Everett Golson could transition from a heavy pass attack to a run first pro style offense

JR ND 60% (256/427) 3445 yards 29 TDs 14 ints
114 car (2.48 ypc) 283 yards 8 TDs

There is no reason why it couldn't happen. They are very similar players with family similar situations. Who's to say that Golson doesn't have a big year too? I'm not saying he puts up 39 TDs or 73% passing, but with our WRs, OL, and RBs, everything will be made easier for him (well, except for the competition he will be facing).

If Golson transfers here. That means the staff has zero faith in Jennings and Harris.

It means they know that neither of these guys are ready for 2015. To be frank, that's what my opinion is at this moment. Golson would be an immediate upgrade IMO.

If they aren't ready now, process the two and start McMillan. Seriously one is a Jr and one has had two Springs

maybe he could take us to 9-3 or 10-2. instead of the 8-4 were facing again.
