Give me good reasoning why LSU makes the playoff at 11-2?

Wins over bama in tuscaloosa and over Georgia in Atlanta and a likely Heisman trophy winner makes it hard for the committee to leave out 11-2 LSU.

Tell me why I’m wrong or tell me how I’m right. Interested to see what y’all think.

Btw before everyone starts saying just worry about your next game, you are right, but it is the bye week. Let’s have some fun.

You’re right as long as other teams lose.

I think a lot of other things have to happen for us to make it after winning out.

Why would this carry so much weight with the committee?

It's a function of the other conferences at this point. PAC-12, Big-12, ACC, and B1G undefeated champs are in over a 2-loss SEC champ.

Now a one-loss Pac-12 or Big-12 champ (or especially both), I can see LSU getting in. I could see the PAC-12 kind of eating it's own, TBH, and maybe even giving us a 2-loss PAC12 champ.

It depends on what other teams do. FSU has head to head over us so let's say they lose to Miami and Florida OOC but still win the ACC with 2 losses. Does their head to head win still put them over us? It's possible. I think we want them to go undefeated to make our loss to them look as respectable as it can. That means they get a playoff spot if that happens so there's 3 left. The Pac 12, Big 12, and Big Ten all still have undefeated teams left. If UGA is at 12-1 with their only loss to us, what does the committee do? I'm not sure, UGA's schedule is terrible but who knows what the committee thinks. If Oregon beats undefeated Washington in the Pac 12 CG they'll have avenged their only loss, I think Oregon stays ahead of us in that scenario. Same if Texas wins out and wins a rematch with Oklahoma especially since they have a win against Bama as well.

LSU has a path but I think they still need a lot of help. We need to win out and root for chaos. Personally I'm not trying to get my hopes up with that right now. Bama, Florida, and Aggie are 3 of our next 4 games. Don't need any extra motivation in those games, I'm just going to look forward to what's in front of us and let the chips fall where they may in the end.

You're outta your mind if you think an SEC Champ fails to make playoffs

If Washington, Oklahoma, Michigan, and FSU are all undefeated no shot. The sec gets left out. One of those teams slip does the committee put Georgia in over LSU if say LSU beats them by field goal? Or does a 1 Loss Michigan or Ohio State stay ranked above a 2 Loss LSU? With the SEC poor showing out of conference how much weight does the SEC champ brand carry with the committee?

After the SEC's poor showing OOC we'll see how the committee respects the conference this year in their first poll that drops next week. Typically the SEC is the first undefeated teams, 1 loss teams, 2 loss teams, etc. Usually, not always but most of the time it seems to be that case in the committee polls. If that isn't the case next week then you might want to reassess.

You're outta your mind if you think a 2-loss SEC Champ makes the playoffs over 4 undefeated P5 champs. We don’t control our own destiny.

You think 3 loss LSU was getting in last year?

Close loss to Ole Miss that should have been a win had the conservative play calling not happened at the end of the game. If that happens and LSU wins out, it’s looks more like a 12-1 team and you would think LSU is in the top 4.

Well for starters there is a -0% chance LSU finishes with only two losses this year

Yes, if it’s an undefeated Georgia. There are a bunch of scenarios where a 2 loss LSU is left out.
