Gary is a class act

Gary realized that he had come across as telling Miles how he should discipline his team which made him sound like a arrogant arse.

He wouldn't back pedal like this otherwise, but at least he finally got it right.

I'm just glad LSU has a coach who knows better than to pull a stunt like this.

“My whole team would vote Devonte to be back on the team because they all want to win,” Patterson said told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram in a no-so-subtle swipe at Miles. “That doesn’t teach life lessons.”

Then Patterson took it a step further saying he believes Miles would have handled the situation much differently if he was facing a lesser opponent instead of the Horned Frogs.

“I’m sure if it was some opponent they’d beat by 100 points [the players] wouldn’t have a vote," he told the Star-Telegram. "It’s not my worry. I’ve got to play whoever they put on the field.”

Patterson, who shares an agent with Miles, said he sent Miles a transcript of the interview.

“Les Miles and I are good friends, it’s not big deal to us,” Patterson said

I've said all along the media is evil and bored

They want to make this game more interesting by making stuff up.

the title of these articles is so misleading

I think Journalist are the ones that should spend time in jail... just to humble them to only report truth, not mislead the audience to make it more interesting

drama sells. This games TV ratings have certainly only gone up since this media spun issue.

Good to hear him set the record straight. I hate how reporters twist shite around just to sell stories. Lots of respect for Patterson clearing that up.

bullshite. Patterson said what he said directly after asked by a reporter what he thought of the LSU decision. Also said if they were a lesser opponent that the players would not even have a vote. Yea he is more worried about LSU than his own team. Gary on. Haha

Patterson made a smart arse remark, no matter the context. He should say he misspoke, especially since his player,Fields, is practicing...just like Hill, after serving the same three month suspension. Miles just hasn't said Hill won't play.

Patterson can say what he wants, but I don't suppose good friends would do that to each other. Maybe Patterson isn't a very good friend.

His stories seem to conflict. He was a douche bag long before this incident. Just keep on douching.

He lacks courage to stand by his words. No wonder they have to arrest TCU players so often.

I'm sure the reporter asked him questions about his team and pieced together his responses without any mention of those questions to twist the situation

I mean...I'm willing to hear that the reporter misquoted him...at which point I'm sure the reporter would make the audio available since they tend not to look like they're just making shite up...but to say those words are not about LSU, Miles' decision, etc is simply to ask folks to pretend they didn't read what they read.

I honestly didn't give two shits either way...but I do tend to hate when someone pisses on my leg and then proceeds to tell me it's raining. Be a man, own it and move on.

Moscona had the reporter that asked the question on today and he essentially said yeah, I asked specifically about LSU and Hill and that was his response although he didn't think there was malice.
So gary is a liar.

So GP says I was responding to a direct question, and I had no malice and the reporter agrees with that but GP is a liar?

Brilliant!

The media is reacting to his direct quotes. He was clearly referencing LSU and the reporter who wrote he story has said as much.

Gary fricked up. Not the media.
