Most LSU fans don't think we lost the game because of the call. We just wanted the CHANCE to have the ball and try to score. Getting the call doesn't mean we automatically score. Just wanted the chance.

In my personal opinion, the game was not lost because of the no int call. I think people need to get over this. It is part of the game. If the refs didn't see it our way, then they didnt. To me, what cost us the game was two things: the fact that we didnt continue to put pressure on McElroy with blitzes and the fact that we had so many unneccessay penalties. Again, this is just my opinion. Agree, disagree?
Discounting the importance of a Bama defensive end being allowed to grab our OL's facemask and rip his head backwards to get a QB sack, discounting the importance of a clip directly in front of an official allowing Jones to go 77 yards, discounting the importance of poor call after poor call after poor call in that game make no sense. It was ridiculous.

Disagree.

We lost because of unfortunate random injuries. All hope of winningbwas taken away by the horrible call.

Called by Bama-friendly refs. The most penalized team in the country is whoever is playing Bama. Bama is one of the least penalized teams, year in and year out. Draw your own conclusions.

How can you say it didn't lose the game? We will never know what would have happened if we got the ball. We could have won the game, plain and simple.

I know you didn't type this, but to add to your response in him saying this, how can you blitz and put pressure on a qb when your man is getting tackled from behind by an offensive lineman?

The int wasn't the only issue here. It was the icing on the cake though.

I think injuries clearly hurt us as well.

FAIL!!! That's why we have replay, and they blew it. Now if there was no replay in CFB then I would agree with you, because it was such a bang-bang play.

Yes, you must play an entire solid game to win. No way can you win in the 4th quarter when presented an opportunity.

Sincerely,

It's like someone asking you to punch them in the face and when you swing at them, somebody else is constantly pulling you backwards and out of range of the punch.

And then those watching are criticizing you because you're not able to do it.

Point is, if you don't play by the rules and are able to sneak by doing so, I guess you will be able to succeed!

I was in Southern California a couple of weeks ago and saw some USC fan with a USC 2003 National Championship hat on. I walked over to the dude and said, "LSU was the National Champion in 2003, the crystal ball is in Baton Rouge, the PAC 10 couldn't even sniff the SEC's jock strap."

Props to you for that RBAMA12. Most of us also pull for any SEC team in a bowl game. However it is always a tough pill to swallow when poor officiating contributes to a loss. They say calls have a way of evening out but that really is no salve for the wound Tiger fans are feeling right now. This was not just a loss but a loss that prevented the opportunity of vying for championships. The clip, facemask, and int. plays all occurring in the final quarter of a game of that magnitude, all going one way is not going to fade away quickly. Not when all are captured for posterity sake by the camera lens. The reality is that until LSU has the opportunity to play for and win their next championship, the circumstances of this game will linger in the minds of most who follow the Bayou Bengals. And one more thing. Had coach Saban endured those kind of poor calls in the same scenario we know him well enough to know he would have erupted mightily, possibly even gotten the next fine from the league. Les still has small children at home and perhaps that helps him hold his tongue...sometimes.

If you are such a good predictor of the future, why aren't you a rich person living in Vegas or Wall Street.

The problem with your statement is you, nor no one knows what would have happened. The interception may have been enough of a momentum swing to spur the offense. Unfortunately, no one will ever know because we were deprived of that opportunity.
