In my personal opinion, the game was not lost because of the no int call. I think people need to get over this. It is part of the game. If the refs didn't see it our way, then they didnt. To me, what cost us the game was two things: the fact that we didnt continue to put pressure on McElroy with blitzes and the fact that we had so many unneccessay penalties. Again, this is just my opinion. Agree, disagree?

the only way for people to get over things is for it to stop being fricking posted every 5 minutes.

The entire point of the debate is that the game should have been decided by the players, not the officiating. It's as simple as that.

Didn't help either.

We did not lose the game because we could not pressure Mc. We lost because of momentum swings, personnel inconsistencies and __________??

I'll bite, it wasn't necessarily lost because of the call, but we were deprived of a chance to win because of it.

Who would have thought with 8 minutes left at Georgia that we would put together over an 80yd drive for the go-ahead score?

I think what people are more aggravated about is the number of crucial plays that we were screwed on. Their go-ahead score was an obvious block in the back......take those 7pts back and the ballgame may be different.

Agree

On the field yes but this is what instant replay was supposed to fix. If replay is not going to solve the on field errors by officials, do away with it and stop delaying the game.

we had so many unneccessay penalties

Part of what has everyone concerned.

You are correct. Not having your starting QB, tailback, TE. and cornerback at crucial times. plus other injuries.

But Alabama managed to seal the victory because of it. The injuries to Scott and Peterson had more to do with the loss than anything Alabama did. Jones never makes that play with Peterson on him, the uncalled block in the back notwithstanding. Give 'Bama credit for feeding JJ the ball when they realized Peterson and Eugene were both nursing injuries on the sideline.

I agree that you're an attention whore for creating a thread to voice an opinion that has already been mentioned ten billion times in the last few days.

Correct, the INT didn't cost us the game by itself.

But the call was missed.

The refs did NOT see the play at all...so their first instinct is to keep Bama undefeated for Florida

I guess you aren't a big believer that giving Bama a second chance on a clear turnover, giving them the opportunity to make it a 2-score game and being robbed of the opportunity of swinging the momentum back in our favor had much of an effect on the outcome? Like it or not, the outcome of MANY games in many sports in the course of history hinge on one single play.
