Peterson's lack of size (6-2?, 230) showed up when he was run over during a blocking drill, and he does not separate from coverage as well as you would like from a player his size. He's too mechanical in his cuts and does not show great burst. It's easy to blame his lack of production on the run-heavy scheme he played in at LSU, but Peterson has not delivered on his chance to prove that was the case. His ball skills are inconsistent and his blocking is an issue, and Peterson's stock is taking a hit.

Reasons why he didn't play as much as he wanted. Along with being a lazy bastard.

he called out Bama like a dumbbell in the leadup to the first game by taking a shot at their linebackers.

Then he's in Mobile downing Les & the offense.

Yep. He may have been right but NFL people don't take kindly to complaining receivers unless they have undeniable talents.

He was talking about Blackwell's write-up.

What it means is LSU's oline very well could be addition by subtraction losing T-bob and Will. Same with the linebackers. At least that's how i've felt for a while. Assuming La'el Collins becomes a starter.

I can understand the criticism of T-Bob, but Blackwell? he was our best or 2nd best OL (I'm partial to Chris Faulk as the best). not saying he's irreplaceable, but damn.

It's not being critical saying the future is brighter than the present, more of a testimant of the up and coming talent. I mentioned blackwell improved after the first few games, really only bad game after that was on 1/9. But those same scouts bashing Blackwell could watch a guy like Lael Collins practice for 5 minutes and see his ceiling is exponentially higher. Bigger, stronger, more athletic player taking his place.

Judging by his write up not so much...

When it comes to L.S.U. OG Will Blackwell it’s probably better to observe the old adage that if you can’t say anything nice then it’s better to say nothing at all. It’s been a real rough week for Blackwell, who just doesn’t look like he belongs on the same field with all of these amazing offensive and defensive lineman.

Why would Miles lovers rejoice when a former Tiger doesn't do well? That doesn't make sense.

Because the people who are talking the most shite are clearly the ones getting exposed on the biggest stage.

Watch the Ole Miss game in 2010 to find out who DP really is.

what a guy does at LSU and what he does (or is/ isn't projected to do) at the NFL level is 2 different things. I loved me some Trev Faulk and Jack Hunt, and I think most Tiger fans would agree. pro personnel ppl, not so much.

Yeah, we're all just freaking thrilled that a LSU player is struggling.

Precisely. If our former starting TE and OL aren't elite players, wouldn't it actually be an indictment of Miles' talent evaluation and player development, rather than a vindication? Very strange sentiments.

I don't get why I can't like the current LSU coach and still want all former LSU players to succeed.

Is there something I am missing? I like Les Miles so I can't like players who say something bout him???????

Some of you people are just stupid as frick

OR, one could ask: "How did Les go 13-1 with THESE guys...?"

i'm not sure this is the best day for any senior, I don't even believe Courtney Upshaw's write up. with the exception of OK states QB everyone seemed to blow chunks for the most part.

Name one person that is rejoicing at the lack of success of any former LSU player.
